IMO they communicate too much about what’s to come and when. What they don’t do is communicate delays very well

Imo they could just post the beta patch release notes - with a couple strategic edits, like a question mark instead of the name of an as of yet unannounced car - publically somewhere and people would most likely be much more happy and more understanding of the delays

Not my studio to run tho.

    Hello fellow Warframe player...

Yeah, I think the way Digital Extremes approach their communication is quite good. Warframe is not perfect, but the industry can learn a lesson or two from the way they do stuff.

Reading about the Lamborghini hypercar programme reassessment. Hope they can do two cars for WEC even if that means pulling out of IMSA
Though will be a shame if the Lambo HyperCars gets canned before it comes out in AMS2...

A real shame! But, if they only knew how excited we were for them i think they might change their mind...

Well, I haven't written here in months... still excited for the update but I wanted to say I'd rather have smaller updates that fix some of the problems that brake the game in some scenarios.

AI pit stop logic and damage are the worst to me, and they keep me off racing many cars. It really breaks the immersion if the AI pit stops will randomly work or not work from one race to the other. And also if you get into a crash and see all of the AI take no damage while you are screwed for the race... It demands a lot of setting tweaking race to race to make it work, making a realistic championship really impossible to achieve for some cars.

I think AMS2 has plenty of content already and would prefer to fix gameplay issues first. I believe people would be less negative if the base gameplay was a bit more "complete", and they would be more excited about new content then. Though I don't know, maybe some people are demanding more content because they already paid for some dlcs?

So since the 1.6 is a never ending story of being around the corner but never arriving, I'd like to ask about a still further update. When do you think we will get the stock car 25? I just recently started racing the 24 version (as well as classic ones) and I am loving every second of it. I refused to try it in the past more than 2 min because I felt weird with the seating position.... Huge mistake, these cars are so awesome that I am becoming interested in the category itself, and have been reading that big changes come next season.

Well if we get it at the same time we got stock car 2024 we should get 2025 season in March/April 2025.

That would be great, but there are way more changes from season 24 to 25 than from 23 to 24 (and Mitsubishi joining if I am not mistaken)... That's why I am not sure about it

IMO the blog posts Renato puts together are the best in genre bar none. Even iRacings season announcments don't have that raw passion that AMS2's dev blogs have.

It's just it seems with that passion comes eagerness that push them to publish things kinda early

And also it suprises me how Reiza acts in that situation. Everyone loves their product and their work hence can't wait for it. There's really no need for that smirky denial of a delay

I certainly don't think it's too much, but as the previous poster mentioned the blogs that are written are excellent and very informative. I'd just like to see a bit more of that (or it broken down into smaller chunks).

Still, that's easy to say in hindsight, but I suspect the idea was to have this release done in August or September originally, so as you say, it's the delays and issues that would ideally be better communicated.

The comms around the content are ideal IMO and I think beta members will have a very different experience to others, as the feature and content reveals will understandably be more gradual for you over the time between patches.

Agreed. I probably shouldn’t have written “too much”, but written “they communicate very well”

I just don’t get why Reiza can’t share occasionally a image from a small part of the new content, or maybe a short video comparing how things have improved. A slo-mo shot of a car going through corners, or a side-by-side comparison of the new shaders with the current graphics, just small updates like this once a week on social media. Raceroom did this months before their last big update, showing dozens of videos with changes, and I ended up buying the whole content in premium package and really enjoying the sim now. I don’t mind if the update is delayed, but small sneak peeks into what’s coming would be great for fans and waiting would feel a lot easier.

For me, AMS 2 will not have an end date for development. It will be like Iracing or Raceroom, the game will be developed over the long term, with DLC which will be released regularly.

Besides, I think that Reiza will release F1 DLC in these seasons. But it certainly won't be right away.

These 3 F1 seasons would be dream come true it would at least for me complete the F1 experience in this game.

Maybe then few more tracks at least the tracks that I would love to have are: Magny-Cours, Hungaroring, Istanbul Park, Albert Park, Shanghai, Fuji.
