Agreed, but that only really works if the update is finished

Few more little crumbs wouldn’t hurt just a small appetizer before dinner. They can only gain from that from PR perspective :)

It looks like they're pulling out of WEC, which is a shame. WEC's getting really interesting with the HyperCars
Lamborghini looking to end FIA WEC program ahead of the 2025 season

Community Manager It doesn't exist... it's incredible how little information there is about what is happening, how easy it would be to explain because we are having more problems than we thought... in 1.6 we won't get everything we would like etc...

I think there is already too much F1 content in the game, but Ok, I‘m down for the 2006 - 2008 generation cars. Is that Glock??? After all the years, it still breaks my heart.
2009/10 was ok, but a little bit weird looking. The 2014/17 noses are a no go for me. Remember that Caterham car!

I hope for some more endurance content, like LMP3 cars, 2000 endurance cars, LMP1s etc..
What I would also love to see: Some Class 1 DTM cars & some more german tracks.
Or a track creator tool, so that these tracks can be modded into the game.

I hope ! circuits like Melbourne, Singapore, Baku I think it's dead. I see Reiza offering us Hungaroring and Magny-cours to have the 1993 full set. but I especially see Reiza taking on the Asian tracks which are rarely present in the game.

Agreed... Or maybe a short explanation as to why a small sample of youtubers couldn't be given access to the beta, as mentioned.

It's a shame because it's a good looking car, but at least another manufacturer, McLaren, is rumored to enter the WEC. And Aston Martin will join in 2025 (WEC and IMSA, I believe.

This is caused by two things, first, WEC has mandated at least 2 cars per manufacturer in an attempt to improve the manufacturer's championship, so that 2 cars can be counted in the points. In 2024, only the best result counts in the points, leading teams to sometimes "sacrifice" their other car for strategy. Obviously this will increase the running cost per season.

This leads into the other (more important) factor is that VW Group is struggling and even with Hypercars being substantially cheaper than LMP1 (they have about the same cost/season as GTE!), they cannot justify having two of their brands in the same category. I recommend you look up "VW Group" in the news section, it's not a pretty sight...

As far as I know the whole Motorsport program from Lamborghini is financed by themselves and by their own money, that they made by selling road cars & by racing succesful in championchips and providing good customer motorsport.
This also leads to a tighter budget, but they are completly independent from the VW Group in terms of motorsport.
Iron Lynx was not happy with the build quality of the Huracan Gt3 and was mentioning this a lot, they also had a lot of technical issues during the season. The Iron Dames car already switched to a Porsche Gt3 for the Rookie Test, before the whole thing came down.
I think pulling out of WEC was not only because of money and the 2 car rule, but also because there is less competiton in IMSA (no hypercars, which are tough to race with an Lmdh even with BoP) and US motorsport is a bit more relaxed than the european thing. As always: Just my 2 cents! :D;)

The IMSA governing body may be more relaxed than WEC but the racing in IMSA is quite the opposite of relaxed.

Yes, with more relaxed I ment everyrhing around the race & not the racing itself.

Interesting that the racing program is self-funded. Ironically, IMSA's first LMH will appear next year - the Aston Martin

I think the gap between releases is far to great for the amount of communication they do.
The problem people are now getting is they will think that everything will be fixed and that everything will be great.
You can bet that people will complain and some here will then say that such and such thing wasn't promised, etc...
But they build up the hype themselves with so little communication and with such a timeframe.
Reiza is a team that normally have a great turnout and with such a large gap people will expect perfection or at least very good and that across the board.
I am afraid they are setting them up for disappointment and the closing of the main topic didn't help either.

Need more Asian tracks! Fuji is so daunting. Love Sugo and Twin Motegi.

Perspective from an Overtake piece on Project Motor Sports:

'The SETA tire model is also present in Automobilista 2 via the Madness Engine - to which some of Project Motor Racing's team are connected via their work on the Project CARS a few years ago. AMS2 developer Reiza Studios has made big progress with that tire model and is set to release a big overhaul in this area, among many others, with their upcoming v1.6 update.

In May 2023, Reiza and Straight4 announced that they would be cooperating, and Straight4 CEO Ian Bell specifically stated that he was "enormously impressed with what Renato and his studio were able to create in terms of feel and handling with Automobilista 2." It would not be far fetched to think that this tire model progress also benefitted from this cooperation.'
Project Motor Racing Tire Model: How Straight4 Studios Surprised Itself
This sounds like leap into an enTIREly new territory. Masterpieces are rarely rushed. When you create one the scariest and hardest part is telling when it is done. Pretty that the Reiza team is developing on two sims I will definitely play--can't wait to drive that Lister again. Maybe we're getting more than we can imagine.

Whatever people may or may not feel once they try V1.6, it would be hard to argue against significant progress having been made.

Even the rolling coffin, aka the Ultima GTR feels like you have at least a 50% chance of surviving now.

I did some laps yesterday late evening at Sebring 12h with the Porsche LMDh and MAAAN: what a pleasure it was! Can't wait for the full release of version 1.6.(2.)
