Meanwhile i was having problems the other way around - cable resulted in regular micro-stutters and fps drops, never mind the hassle of the debug tool always restarting things to get it to save settings every single time.

VD, no stutters, no fps drops out of nowhere, much better image quality, little to no latency too.

 

I really fought with the idea of going back to cable. I never had any problems with VD until this and I couldn't be happier today to have solved such a simple issue after 4 days of trying everything I could think of. Persistence paid off! Also glad to be on the latest Nvidia driver with no issues. I think sticking to 552.44 is not necessary and they never seem to give a reason why they insist on it in their Discord. I suggest using DDU in Safe Mode to remove the old driver if you decide to update.
