I think Reiza has hurt itself with the hype it has generated. It would have been enough to have thrown the update into the public consciousness a few weeks before its actual release.

Prime Nico against prime Lewis was a blast, they both raced each other hard and sometimes over the limit. I have nothing but respect for Nico for stretching out his limits and after winning the championchip (with a little bit of luck, but there are many champions that got lucky on their way to the title - is that Glock?), he pulled out and said he can‘t do it again.

How as it hurt itself? If they had said nothing for 8 months about updates wouldn't we all be complaining that Reiza have stopped developing AMS2 or constant post about why no updates, why no new content and how the long period of silence as hurt Reiza.

I think you could make the case that the people on this forum are the ones who are actively engaged with AMS2 and want to see it do well. They are the ones telling friends to buy it and being positive on other forums when people are saying daft things like it's Simcade etc.

Over the last couple months, the people here whether through miscommunication or wishful thinking have had the impression on more than occasion that release is imminent. Only last week we had the Simracing604 videos that again gave the impression we could be seeing a release in few days, Mike could have got that wrong and eventually Renato stepped in saying don't cancel your weekend plans, which was the right thing to do. However because none of the information is that clear people go into the next weekend cycle and get excited and so far it's been for nothing.

Reiza don't have to tell us everything, and I really want them to do well, but they haven't handled this particularly well and the people on here are probably their biggest supporters.

I don't know about Brazil, but in the Reiza office it is at the moment. When they are working to try and get an update out the door, we have had beta updates at all days and hours. I do sometimes wonder if they ever go home.

I agree that the communication could be better, that's why I find it strange that some people think that Reiza shouldn't have said anything about the update until release day. The long wait could have been made a lot more palatable if we were involved in the journey with regular news of how the updates going. Anyone outside the beta have no idea what is actually being worked on at the moment, is it AI calibration, car set ups, further tweaks to the physics/sound/graphics?

Reiza could probably give a rough estimate of when we can expect the update, but if things change and it takes longer they get a lot of flak. So they have no incentive to give even a very loose timescale.

I too appreciated Renato's post last week, but it gets a bit silly if he as to post every weekend to say 'not this weekend guys'.

The sad thing is we probably won't get even a sniff of what's in future updates until they drop.

You went full on personal to the point of asking me out of the forums as if you had any saying in that

I didn't say I'm a rammer. I'm saying it's a ridicolous consideration to have that my actions IN A VIDEO GAME may cause actual harm to other people.

The point of a video game is to have fun or simulate the racing without the actual danger. If someone calibrates their gear in a way that it becomes dangereous to them then it's only on them if something happens.

I refuse to feel guilt in case of crash and worry "I hope that other person don't run their moza at full 21nm, it could be nasty then". If that makes me inconsiderate as you imply then I geuss I'm just not keeping up with the idea of video games and am a bad person

The conversation was about ramming people AFTER the race is over. Maybe you missed that part? It's dangerous and people can get hurt.
