I think it's too early for that, but I wouldn't mind a Adrenaline pt2/Racin' US pt4 hype thread since those 2 DLCs were supposed to be released by the end of this year.

 

He's right. If you have a direct drive wheel with forces turned up so high it can injure you, a pit of lava next to your bed or whatever else that's (a) very silly and (b) your responsibility when the expected happens.

 

Hi all, can you tell me whats the best AA Settings in AMS2. I have a Samsung G9 EVO and 7800x3d / 4080 super. I have tried many AA Settings but the result is not great with shadows for example. Are there any suggestions?

I think with all that's gone into v1.6 and the obviously expanded timeline to make it so good, it's fair to think of any future content as a next year thing - I'm looking forward to more vintage sportscars coming but for now time to enjoy the modern stuff!

 

The aliasing isn't great in general but with that amount of PC horsepower you've probably got enough to run a bit of super-sampling even with everything maxed out and still get a decent framerate.

 

Hi all, Is there a special setting in AMS 2 for the Samsung G9, similar to ACC and iRacing where there is a triple monitor setting for G9 (5120x1440 / 32:9)?

 

There is currently no engine support for either:

• Treating one wide monitor as a virtual triple screen and rendering three viewports.
• Using a shader or similar to "correct" the perspective.

Some folks use Reshade to achieve the second option, but that will also "correct" the HUD and other screen elements.

 

Thanks for your feedback, I thought so. Samsung has a tool, the Easy Settiung Box, with which you can split the G9 monitor into 3 areas, for example. Would that be an option, would AMS 2 then recognise it as three monitors?

 

I don't have any knowledge of that tool, but I would imagine not. It'd have to be something supported at the graphics card driver level most likely. But perhaps someone else knows more?

 

It should be possible to create a custom monitor profile for use in Windows / GPU settings / Games by using Custom Resolution Utility (CRU). Since creating one for my triple monitors, the combined resolution option is available as a standard resolution for more titles too.
