    Hi!

You save the 'ffb_custom_settings.txt' to your PC, then you copy and paste the file into ...\Documents\Automobilista 2. It will then ask if you want to overwrite your old file. You click yes.

Ingame - I have GAIN at 50, and the other sliders do nothing. Hope this helps in some way. :)

    Hello Guys,

Hope Someone can help me. Personally I would like the default and default+ (depending on car class) but the strong vibrations in some cars are driving me crazy. Even with ingame Damping 50 and FX 0 its way too much for my taste, so i have to set additionally smoothing on my wheelbase (Fanatec DD) to get rid of it. But then the signals are way too muted and becoming laggy. Tried some of the customs from here, unfortunately they are too mutet for my taste. Like I said, I do like the baseline of the defaults with its strong feeling of weight transfer etc but hate the strong vibrations.

Tried also the Reiza Basic custom ffb file. It is not what I'm looking for as it disables not only the vibrations but also other kinds of additional effects like additional weight transfer and brake feel (at least it seems to me)

    So now to my question:
Maybe it is possible to make a command for a custom ffb file that is basically the default+ or default but only disables or lowers all this small vibrations? Unfortunately I dont know exactly if its coming from engine vibrations, road texture vibrations or a combination of both.

Thanks in advance und sry for eventually bad english as I'm not a native speaker.

I’m a bit lost having been away from this for a while. What’s the latest and ‘best’ file for a csldd? Going through 400+ pages isn’t the most efficient way of looking, and I’m out of the loop of what ‘works’. Any help appreciated thanks

I'm using this one (BaseEVO + Partial NDef_imm):
Automobilista 2 Custom Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations

This has also been updated for v1.6
Automobilista 2 Custom Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations

(updated) FWIW my in-game settings are: 60-70/5-10/35/0 and Fanatec CP settings: FFB 100/ Peak/ NDP 0/ NFR 7/ NIN 0/ INT 1/ FEI 60 (reduce harsh vibrations) / FOR 90 (reduce harsh vibrations).
I have small hands/wrists, but this suits me. Tested only with LMP2/LMDh so far because I'm addicted.

More Force = More Grip (steering is strong)
Less Force = Less Grip (steering feels Light)

Suellio Almeida is a Sim Racer and a professional Race Driver an explained the FFB so well in his new Video.

for my muscle memory i always try FFB files where the steering goes light, if the front axle loses grip. For me its one of the fun parts in sim racing to find that perfect point in every corner. Feeling the edge of grip:)

I may have found another use for your barest-of-bones rack force file, Alex. I fired it up in the sim and used it to find a suitable Gain value (no clipping) in the F-USA at Indy oval (Gain of 60 on my G25). Then I switched back to Reiza’s basic tune and kept Gain at 60 with the typical G25 LFB at 60. Voila … now I can switch between all three profiles in the game and never touch a setting. Technically, that’s been my approach to tuning Reiza’s profiles for a few years now (start with basic tune to set Gain and LFB), but your even simpler rack force file may help some users fine tune their ideal Gain value even finer before activating a Reiza tune.

    Hi
    I have the same problem
    I'm owner a DD2 fanatec.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to use Default+ with a fanatec DD2 base . Due to the large oscillations of the steering wheel, something is not right in that combination.

I use only default profile with these settings in game
    Gain 25-30
    LFB 0
FX 12 (upper values cause oscillations)
Damping 0 (Upper values cause oscillations)

On the side of the DD base software
    SEN AUTO
    FFB 100
    FFS PEAK
    NDP 5
    NFR 5
NIN 0-7 (depends the weight of the wheel you use)
    INT 7
    FEI 70 (reduce vibrations)
    FOR 100
    SPR OFF
    DPR OFF

As you describe the oscillations in default+, it is impossible to eliminate them without losing the details of the ffb

There are several reasons why it is not working for you with your Fanatec dd2.

    1. With Ams2 it is wrong (in contrast to other simulations) to set the base to 100% gain unless you have a base with little power. You should adjust your base gain in the game. This means that your dd2 should have a gain of around 65% in the game, from this value you can set your power on the base.As a rule, your power on the base should then be between 9-12Nm (depending on the car and your taste) 2. Fanatec dd1 and dd2 have (in my opinion) not good internal FFB software, which can lead to strange results. 3. You will not be able to eliminate these vibrations (not even with a different dd) at Default +.Unless you reduce the forces on the belt or gear values, but that doesn't make sense with a dd base. 4. Yes, increasing the damping in the game will cause you even more vibrations, unfortunately it is still like that

Are there any fellow Simagic Alpha owners that would care to share their settings ?

What was the tool to 'hot swap ' custom ffb files.? Does it still work?

    long live JSGME!

Automobilista 2 Custom Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations

Note: I’d typically recommend exiting the sim and choosing between various FFB files rather than trying to hot swap while the sim is running. On the other hand, I can’t say I’ve tried swapping files with the sim running, so it might work just fine.

AMS2 Custom FFB - rFuktor Ultimate Evo Tune - By Kuku - Updates

Long time reader of thread and a Simagic user. I have used KUKU files in the past with great success,
If anyone else has a specific Simagic setup, please post. Good luck.

I did a little testing today with Update 1.6 from Reiza, of course that's still not enough, but I already have a first impression. If I'm honest, a lot of things are exactly the same as in 1.5.6 and still with the same results. Unfortunately, Default+ is still not an option for me personally. Still too slippery and still that floating feeling (that's my personal opinion) But I do feel a reduction in forces on some cars which is a good thing. For me the focus is on less slipping, less boat feeling but more grip, more stability and more connection to the tires and the road. Everyone can decide for themselves whether it is realistic or not, but such discussions always involve 1000 different people's opinions. Having the option to decide for yourself is fantastic with Reiza, what other simulation can you do that in? That's why you choose your personal FFB no matter who it comes from, the main thing is that you have fun with it:)

Hi Daniel, would you say your latest custom FFB file still works good in 1.6?
I have not tried it so far, I only had a couple of hours with 1.6 and I was using Default+, which made me only half happy (you described perfeclty why).

Joaquim FULL FFB is my favorite

i come from MOZA r9 and it’s still working great with my ALPHA

15nm in SIMPRO and around 40 to 50 gain in Game with 30 of damping

It’s obviously subjective but I always find his file leading to a sluggish feeling on the wheel

like if it was over damped or very high friction it’s not enjoyable again, to me
