Good evening. I request to reset my Steam account in Automobilista2 so I can race online in Lowfuelmotorsport and not have to start a new account and lose my license. My account was banned without reason from one day to the next. My Steam ID: 76561198836205873
I imagine but after months without entering the simulator I found that I could not enter the servers created by others
Low Fuel Motorsport | Worlds leading independent competitive SimRacing platform They seem to have a set of penalties and bans that range from 3 days to forever and a day. Although the list of reasons for permanent bans are not something someone could have done without realising and mostly don't relate to driving. I suspect the only people who can remove your ban is lowfuelmotorsport, but it's likely to expire at some point unless you did one of the unmentionables they list on that page.
As i said, people dont just get banned for nothing. Low Fuel Motorsport | Worlds leading independent competitive SimRacing platform XV. Permanent Ban: a) Discriminating or racist statements b) Radicalising statements on any subject c) Spreading political or theological messages d) Insulting in particularly severe cases e) Intentionally causing a collision in particularly severe cases f) Ban evasion
Question: Can you connect to LFM using other simulators? Is this only with AMS2 that you cannot get on LFM or other servers? If you look at the OP's previous posts, he's been asking about this since May. Maybe by banned means cannot connect?
The way I read his messages is that in May he was having problems connecting to servers, but in October he says he was banned. edit: Ok, I see in the log file he posted in May the following line [16:55:42:378][0x00002c34] [Warn ] [Authentication::ValidateTicketCallback] [Accounts] ValidateTicketCallback responded with error 6, assuming we have been VAC banned Which is perhaps why he think he's been banned. His steam profile has no vac bans - so the error message was / is likely some other glitch or connection thing.
It's not a problem with lfm. It's with AMS2, it's not a problem with my internet connection or router configuration. I tried with another account on the same PC and I have no problem accessing the servers.
When you say another account do you mean a different steam account or a different windows user account on the computer?
I'll guess that the problem is with steam. Or possibly some setting in a folder that applies to one of the users and not the other. If it were me, to check steam I would delete or move everything in your steam folder except 'SteamApps' and 'Steam.exe' - (your games are in SteamApps so you won't have to reinstall all of them) Run steam.exe from that folder, steam should download and prompt you to log in. See if that works.
I'll try to do this on Steam. I was hoping that installing 1.6 would reset everything, I uninstalled the game before and deleted the folders I had for steering wheel configuration and user registration, but I'm still the same as before.. I'll look at what you said about Steam. Thanks
