I feel this asks a question:

what exactly is it you want that is making you angry, and why didn’t you raise it in July when you started to feel that way?

The better physic is what I am so hype. It don’t need to be like le man ultimate/iracing. Just something less slide and floating.

Good. Your patience, should you be able to keep it for a while longer, will be rewarded. Nobody within these forums wants to be disappointed by the update. Had it come sooner, maybe nobody would have been happy. It doesn’t excuse Reiza from communicating the delays better, and I know they are already aware that this is something they are going to try and do better in future. Crimson has posted as much.

If you still lack patience then taking it out in anger verbally on Reiza and other forum members is not going to solve any of your problems or make the delay go away faster. If you feel the need to ask for a release date or an update only to be dissatisfied when that information comes, repeating your frustrations in the way you are changes little. Please, don’t assume anyone else here wants the update any more or less than you. We all want it, but we can’t force it out of Reiza, and posting in irritation only makes people resentful. It only takes patience.

What do you think about the possibility that at some point it will be proposed to include the Algarve racetrack (Portimao)?
It is a circuit that I love in other games because of its unevenness and fast curves, I can't imagine how good an experience it would be to have it in this simulator.

This amazing track does exist in Project Cars 2, it would be awesome if PCMT would port it over after Dubai Autodrome.

    1.5 is annoying.

It's soooo perfect that the little, little flaws it brings with it are completely noticeable. In other simulations (OutOfTheBox) there are so many construction sites that you feel more like a crane driver.

    1.5 was a glancing blow.
    1.6 will be ☆the Counterstrike☆

I’ve been playing since early 2022 so I dont remember what version that is, but AMS2 has basically only gotten better as far as I’m concerned. 1.5 is the best version of the game in my opinion.

If there’s an ultimate persistent “ick” for the game in my eyes it’s the brake model, which still feels a bit twitchy and unfair, although much improved. Nothing that a bit of setup tweaking can’t ease, but the chatter from the beta testers has me optimistic.

I'm curious what you'll think of the braking in v1.6 then, since some cars (especially some open-wheelers) have become more nervous during braking. Thankfully, there's plenty of other cars to choose from that are nice and stable.

So, Raceroom is also coming to LFM and they are planning to upgrade their graphics to DX12. What do you guys think about that?
Maybe they can finally upgrade the car dashes after the move.
I love racing the Nordschleife in Raceroom, but thats all I do. For multiplayer racing I only play LMU & I‘m very happy with it. But with LFM, why not? I will test ir for sure.

Raceroom is always online and that causes a lot of problems. Like right now they have all free content, so it's busy. When it's busy their back-end fails over and over. Load times are ridiculously long. Until they change that, none of the other things matter to me.

RRRE is pretty fun, although it’s been years since I tried it. No custom liveries at all is a dealbreaker to me as a go-to sim, though.

That said, the built-in liveries in R3E look very believable and realistic. For a long time the built-in liveries in AMS2 left a lot to be desired, which also was the problem in AMS1, but in the last year or two the quality has improved quite a bit! For example the improvements to the F-Classic liveries.

Are the Brazilian Stock Cars really hard to drive in real life?

I only ask because 1) I love these cars, and 2) they are the only car I’ve tried (so far) in 1.6 that REALLY needs to be driven gently and never seem to really gather grip with warmer tires.

in my head I’ve always sort of considered them to be similar to the SuperV8/supercars from Australia, but maybe I’m wrong? They feel great in AMS1.

The SuperV8s are a lot of fun in 1.6, but the 2024 stock cars still feel like my tires are made of egg shells and the road is glass, but maybe that is by design?

For the people that play mp and have their real name, did you change your steam profile name or does the game takes the Real Name from steam?

Yeah seems strange that if you wanted to create an open world you'd start creating it as though you were creating a track - not the least because you could make this world look like an exact replica of Durham or Dubai and most people won't have been there to know. So it's an expensive way to make the content.

I'd have thought they'd be better getting something that generates terrain etc automagically and puts in details using procedural generation or whatever. That potentially gives you unlimited space to explore (It's what I wish zwift had done by now)

I get it, they've seen how many people are playing AC on steam and which mods they're playing and perhaps things like Forza horizon.

Sim racers, of course, will mostly stick to the tracks I expect.

I'm unsure what your point is. The game will have tracks and it is not like Kunos lacks experience with making sims with proper cars and tracks. So, it will have an open world element also apparently (which is going to make the investment back a million times over), I do not think Durham would cut it to be honest. Misha standing around... "So this is Durham, it looks dreadful!" ;)

Game is road car heavy in early access, sure... I just do not see the point in taking a dump on it before we really know anything much at all. I guess it is the sim racer way: get defensive at all times, do it at the earliest opportunity.

Seems Kunos is trying the holy grail of sim racing: have a proper sim and an open world environment in the same game. Whatever the eventual result: it's ambitious at least, and time will tell how it all works out.
