Huh, this might actually get me into AC EVO, it looks like its full of road cars like the first one, wich I really dont see the point in a race game, but in open roads I would actually like to cruise some interesting road cars.

Just read what I said and not what I didn't. "He's saying there won't be tracks in the game!" - nope. "He's saying the game is road car heavy and dumping on it" - what? This is bordering on psychosis. You're literally hearing or reading stuff that doesn't exist. Where are you getting this "taking a dump" stuff about road cars or "getting defensive" from? I'm genuinely concerned for your welfare.

I'm surprised they would create an open world by using a manual scanning process of the kind you'd use to create a real world track. That was the point - because a manual process is expensive and limits the size of the world you can create for what I figured was no great reason - i.e only a handful of people will know whether the road has been rendered accurately in great detail or not.

Whereas a real world track, of course, everyone knows the detail.

If you look at the numbers of people playing the trucking games it should be very popular. The appeal of those games for probably most of their player base isn't the trucks or delivering cargo, it's the chill experience of driving.

The sim world doesn't really need another racing title but an actual driving simulator with good physics and FFB, I can see being massively popular not just to sim racers looking for a change of pace but many more gamers looking for this kind of experience.

Trucking is amazing. ingame radio on. (you can pick radios with the .ini file or so) and have a blast. It's better if you do voice chat, etc, so you can talk and chitchat while driving. Cruise control helps wonders as well when you've a strong throttle.
Edit: That said something like trackir works amazingly crossing roundabouts, etc.

To be fair that has been the position I had to take with the original AC, I use it now as a driving sim instead of a racing sim, AC evo seems to be doubling down on the strenghts of the original AC so at this point I'm ok with it.

There are many times in ATS or ETS2 that I come to some amazing scenic road and think how cool it would be to drive them in some old sports car. Trackir really helps at junctions but is also useful for sightseeing.

Not sure if this is the place, so apologies first! I'm a noob . Bought and installed on my Steamdeck and 100% satisfied my craving for racing on the go. Seriously cannot believe just how good this SIM is and how it runs.

Anyway, just a wee query on DLC. If I buy a pack and then later buy another DLC which features the same car or track, does the price change to mirror that? I'm sure I read that somewhere.
