Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

Applicable Settings: front toe-in
Report: front toe-in seems reversed. Negative values are actually toe-in, whilst positive values are toe-out.
Rear toe-in seems correct instead.
Steps to reproduce: test BMW M1 procar, default setup, with -2 front toe-in and +2 front toe-in

 

ABS and TC 0 on replay mode
Track & Layout Used: any
Car Used: McLaren GT3 Gen2
Applicable Settings: any
Report: when watching replay you can see on the dahsboard that ABS and TC are always 0 in replays.
Steps to reproduce: Drive Mclaren GT3 Gen2 in Monza with set ABS and TC. Then watch replay in Cockpit modeD ABS and TC are 0.

 

The Formula Trainer's Tyres, Semi Slick and Wet are visually and performance wise identical.

The Formula Trainer Advanced Wet Tyres, behave the same as the Slicks, on a Wet track.

Report: When swaping to the AI co driver, tire wear is not reset when changing tires. Swapping from AI to player with tire change works fine.
Breaks endurance racing.
Steps to reproduceSteps to reproduce: Do a burnout until you have noticeable tire wear. Pit for tire and driver change. Tire compound will change but not tire wear.

 

Kind of a follow up. The quoted report was on version 1.5.6.3, this is on 1.6.3.1

Car Used: Formula Classic Gen 4 Model 3
Applicable Settings: Any
Report: Max power is achieved at 10700 RPM with 675 HP, dropping 35 HP by the redline at 12000 RPM. Power figure looks correct but the shape of the power curve not.
Steps to reproduce: Drive the car with either the Telemetry HUD on to check power output live, or use a data recording app like Second Monitor and check the results.

 

Sometimes when I update a livery whilst being in-game, the camera in the showroom locks along to one path and cant be moved off it

Report: Livery on the body gets mirrored for the right side when it obviously should not
Steps to reproduce: Select the Lotus 79 while using the 1978 livery pack (or make any custom livery) and see the right side of the car has the left side mirrored on it.

Report: When driving at night, the LCD panel light does not turn on at the driver's seat view. Driving information such as gear and speed cannot be checked.

I do not have this problem.

 

Since update 1.6, after every restart of Steam, the game offers me the Brazilian Stock Cars 2020 when moving to single race. Was not the case in former builds of the game.
The latest track I have driven on is still there, but not the car class.

 

I am having the same issues. I was asked if i have Documents folder set to "read only" and i do NOT in fact. Oddly enough the Track and race settings are the exact ones i had before exiting the game, but the car is always the 2022 Stock Cars.

 

Track Truxton Park
Car Ginetta G40
Repport ; One race at Thruxton Park with the Ginetta G40 and I did 3 races with AI (100% strength and middle agrassie) and all three end on the same bug? Then if I drive 5th position then the 4 in front drive close behind each other and if you try to overtake you get run off the track by the back one time after time anywhere. This starts to get really annoying after 3 times, he comes at you and rams you sideways off the track, which the others didn't do before.

It' s everytime the same Ginetta who run me off track

Applicable Settings: TC and ABS authentic
Report: LFM race at LeMans session 162062 split2.
traction control and ABS did not work and my in car driver view side and rear view mirror were fogged and could not see out of them
Steps to reproduce: This was the first time it has happened in the 5 or so LFM races i have done there. So i don't know.

BUG 2
possibly related to bug 1
During initial joining of said buggy LFM race, It would not connect to lobby and threw me back to the main menu. After clicking multiplayer again, it uses the same search parameters used in filtering the LFM session number but will go on forever without the ability to back out and search for the MP server yourself and instead have to go back to main menu and needed to exit the game in order to do another search for MP lobby.

Car Used: Formula Classic Gen1 (can be any)
Report: TV cameras are screwed up, often show very high (almost helicopter) view and obscured by trees. Previous camera were much better (and really were TV cameras).

 

Same with ARB adjustments using shortcuts and possibly other in-car settings.

 

Did a race at Le Mans, GT1 and Porsche Super Cup as fillers.

So there´s a yellow flag and safety car and most of the field decides to make the compulsory pitstop. I have 1.5 liters of fuel left:



The pitstop rule I created before the race: change all tires and refuel with 21 liters...

But now I´m leaving the pits with 100 liters of fuel.



How is this possible? Well, I did some research. No matter how many times I save, edit or mark my pitstop settings. If I save and go to the race menu and then go back to the pitstop settings, only the default pitstop setting is marked green. The team won´t use my settings for the pitstop, just the default.

And one more thing. I was disqualified at the end because... I didn´t do the mandatory pitstop

 

Black flagged again, for missing a mandatory pitstop, although I f***ing pitted. You really can’t be serious; I’ve highlighted this on numerous occasions over the years, and it’s still a bug that should have been a long and distant past, after 1.6. Infuriating, because it’s simply gamebreaking, however good the game is

 

Are you venting or reporting a bug? If former it's a wrong thread, if latter you need to be less emotional and provide actual evidence, car, track, session details, pitstop requirements etc to help with reproducing it and debugging what may be causing it.

I understand the frustration (I'd be fuming myself!) but this is a bug reporting thread. Instructions are in the first post.

 

Fair point, but as I mentioned I’ve been reporting this bug for a long period, at least 2 years. Regardless of the parameters, it occurs every time, but I will provide the details of this individual case nonetheless, although looking at the two year period, I would be surprised if it makes any difference.
Track & Layout Used: Road Atlanta
Car Used: BMW M6 GT3 gen1
Applicable Settings: Race time 30 mins; class GT3 gen1; fuel/tyres x2; cars AI 29.
Report: Selected mandatory pitstop, fuel and tyres, pitted within the window, only to be black flagged on the last lap of the race for not pitting. Occurs everytime, and is unacceptable at this stage of the games development.

I admit I was a little emotional in my original post, but considering how long this gamebreaking bug has been known, and yet nothing has been done to address this for years now, there is a point when frustration becomes exasperation. 1.6 is a great update, but the fundamentals and basics have to be addressed too, and this is an appalling oversight that wrecks the game when racing the AI. I hope that this can now be addressed, and quickly.

 

Ibarra Reverse Pit-Stop Faces Wrong Way
Presumably, it's using the same pit-boxes as default Ibarra and hasn't been converted for this Reverse layout.
