I am starting to dig into car setup after spending the best of the past 2 weeks finally logging hours into the game (1.6 really changed it for the best). I am wondering though on how Bump Stop do work in here.

    - What is the bump stops stiffness ? Is it releated in any manner to the suspension stiffness ? Do they have a defined value ?
    - What does the mm value correspond to ? There are a couple of confusing tooltip in the setup screens, so I am kind of careful when reading things now : is the mm value how long the bump stop is, or, is it how much compression the suspension can have before reaching the bump stop ?
    - How do you usually setup the bump stop ? Rather long or short ?
    - How are values of bump stop range defined ? Some cars like the 720S have a range of 0-10mm, the Cayman GT4 a range of 30-31mm & 35-41mm, and the Huracan Evo2 GT3 a range of 0-100mm.

The last one in particular capted my attention and started to make me wonder how things work. Indeed, a range of 0-100mm would mean that the bump stop range could be set at a value even higher than the actual maximum ride height of that car (69mm). So how do the bump stops work in this game ?

AFAIK they work more like packers and limit the minimum ride height.
AFAIK it is how long the packers are which means the minimum RH will be the set value
Just remove them since they don’t really work like bumpstops

Mmmm that makes the 100mm of the Lambo even more strange. o_O

If you do that though you lose any sort of control over the ride height and the aero stability of the car platform, or is there another way to handle it in AMS2 ?

I would use the springs and base RH to adjust that. I believe dampers also help
