Multiplayer mode doesn't work

I'm trying to host a game for playing with friends but every time I try to start the host I get disconnected from multiplayer services. Not even the server list is working, it keeps searching servers forever and when it finishes not a single server appears on the list.
Is the game server down? Is it some bug? How can I host a race for friends?

 

There are some things we'll never understand. This morning, I woke up, read your response, and was ready to give it a try. But before that, I decided to check the game one more time. And then, out of nowhere, the multiplayer mode just started working! I didn’t do a thing—it just worked!

I had spent days trying to play with friends and was almost ready to give up on the game entirely when it suddenly fixed itself.

If it's steam that's the issue. I'd try deleting everything in your steam folder except 'steam.exe' and steamapps. (Steamapps has all your games so you won't need to redownload everything) but you will need to login to steam again.

Then run steam.exe, sign in, run the game and see if the browser works.

If not, then start on Marius list.
