It's linked to MSAA. It's the MSAA super-sampling resolution, not full screen super-sampling resolution. You won't notice it on MSAA low as much as you'd notice on MSAA high

Supersampling works great for textures details, and in Madness Engine not so great as antialising itself and flickering. MSAA works nice to smoother egdes of 3D objects but blur a bit textures. I go for 1.1 supersampling and MSAA medium and post processing filters OFF. Good performance and no flickering shadows and fences.

On my system I set everything on Ultra and for some reason performance looks good, I've also set 1.1 supersampling and edited the ini file for sharpening. But I still have this problem with the steering wheel animation not corresponding to what my real wheel does , I tried already to recalibrate the wheel but without success, anyone knows why?

The update will have replaced the opencomposite dll file with the original one. Just reinstall your last good dll file (and ini if you had one) and you should be good. Works again for me with a Reverb G2. I have these files:

Have you tried using the current version of PimaxPlay only? I uninstalled SteamVR.
PimaxPlay is working very good here with (Crystal Light). I had been struggling to keep OXR-toolkit working consistently and find Pimax OXR (90Hz Lab mode) runs games buttery smooth.

Anyone know why the HUD appears at an angle? Not played in a week or so and everything was fine last run, but today fired up and the HUD is at an angle. Never seen this before, HMD position all correct in SteamVR and in game, bit odd.

If you go to Edit HUD, select Help and you'll see keybinds that allow you to scale, rotate, etc. to get it back to where you want it.

I haven't tried opexr still but I managed to get the game run smoothly using Oculus VR, with everything on Ultra, MSAA high, and some adjustments in the .ini file for sharpening and some adjustments in the oculus debug tool at 72hz max resolution scale. This on my system with a 7950x3d and a rtx4080. I'm gonna share my settings if anyone is interested.
I'm curious by the way to try opencomposite, not just for performance but also for the possibility to use some filters and make adjustments to the graphic which looks a little bit too vibrant and cartoonish in my opinion, I might try reshade but at the moment I don't know how to make it run (despite being installed in the game directory already

Trying a reinstall, because I don't know why now I lost one of the best features of 1.6 - water spray don't acting like x-ray. Now it's a lot of water inside closed cockpit.

I have not been on AMS2 for quite a while due to equipment issues and could not find any comments when searched, so I ask if anyone else has this issue.

In Ginetta G40 I cannot sit directly behind the wheel, yet in other cars there is no issue. I recall the DTM Mercedes had the same problem for me, so I never drove it again.

is this a known issue and is there a workaround please? Many thanks.

    Hi Bisto!
I don't have the problem you refer to. I know you are a long time VR user so I'm sure you've selected the right view and have mapped a button for resetting it. Other than that i don't know what to suggest but I can assure you one can sit directly behind the wheel in the Ginetta G40 :)

Cheers Jon. It was actually with RCV that I had my Mercedes issue and had to default to BMW. My view is dead centre in the car rather than in the drivers seat. Yes, I have mapped and can adjust up, down, forward and back but not unfortunately, left and right.

Perhaps a verification of files or reinstall may be in order.

Thanks for your input and hope to re-join RCV very soon!

Just realised you are THE Jonathan B

Verification of files came up with some errors and I also reset documents folder. It now works so I am thinking perhaps it was a camera setting that went skew.

Guys, what world scale settings do you use in the OpenXR toolkit?

If I change world scale I do it from the games VR seat adjust screen.
