    Hey boys and girls,

i'm working on a remixed and tweaked version of different custom ffb files out there.
the goal is to keep it simple and avoid immersive effects but not necessary to feel what the car is doing.

i hope i can have this thread of my own since i'd like a place where to gather thoughts and feedback to improve this file with your help.

every latest version will be uploaded to this post when it drops
you can also check the version by checking the txt if you want to.

i wish to credit other peoples work that i actually used
Inspired by the "Momentum Rack" from rFuktor 5.0.1.6K by Karsten with Shadak & Panos .
Special thanks to Kuku and others for the development of advanced tire and grip feedback effects.
The **Rack Force Code** is credited to Alex291190

v1.2 is out guys, hope you enjoy it

    - Refined skid vibrations: - Vibrations now activate only when slip angle exceeds precedent values - Dynamic scaling of skid vibrations: subtle vibrations at the limit of grip, progressively stronger as skidding increases. - Improved tire flex effect: - Flex effect is now smoother and blends better with skid vibrations during grip loss.

Found your post on Reddit so come here to try it. Came back and registered just to say I LOVE IT!

The Rack Force is great but it was missing feedback from the edge of track and the pull if you venture a little too far over the bump strips. You managed to nail those! I felt much more feedback from slip and oversteer and it is much easier to correct. I did notice the steering felt a little lighter when on a straight, like the wheel wasn't quite as connected to the car. Is it meant to? Might have a look at my dead zones. I am on a T300RS so that might be the problem!

All in all my favourite custom FFB, and to be honest, I prefer it to anything on other sims. You just made a great game greater for me, cheers!

Hello sir, you just won the price for first comment on my thread hey it ain't much but it is what it is and you are the winner. ok regarding the straight line feeling yes it is meant to be neutral when in a straight line for the most part since the steering rack is not involved that much. some road vibration or effects could be added but they would defeat the purpose of this ffb which is to represent only the forces going through the steering rack while other effects could be left to bass shackers or similar.

Tried this today and have to say I really like it! As I use pedal and seat haptics, I've been loving the clean feeling of rack force for a while, but have been missing more detailed/nuanced tyre feel and weight transfer from that, and your file brings just what I was looking for.

It definitely feels like the best of both worlds, and a solid evolution of rack force to me. Will be keeping this on going forward, Thanks!

For the T300, try adding some low force boost in-game; I have mine at 22. OP has a DD so they won't need LFB, but we do. Worth maybe also playing around with some damping to suit your feel

woah nice, i'm really glad you get the exact purpose of this custom ffb file. tbh i'm using 7 lft boost myself so i get you might need a little more on T300. if i may, what cars have you tried it with ?

I've tried a few different cars today; lmdh and some formulas, but the best and easiest comparison for me has been GT3s. I've run all of them, Gen 1 and 2, at Brands for the last three nights for training and to build baseline setups. Most of them feel okay to decent with rack force, but no matter what I did, I couldn't feel connection to the road or chassis at all in the Audi, which is what actually got me searching for a new solution. With your file, I can feel so much now, with no setup or track condition/weather changes. The rest all feel better too as well; I'm noticibly more consistent across the board!

Before I try this out, will work or make sense to use it with the Logitech g923? Or is it just for dd wheels? Thanks!

hello, tbh i don't know. actually what may happen is that you won't feel much and need to increase gain. other than that i don't think there should be any problem. i would actually like to hear feedback if you try it
