After reading the Overtake piece, I think "new updates monthly" simply means, as Renato puts it, a return to the way Reiza did things when AMS2 was released: regular content drops and updates, instead of one big update all at once like it was the case for 1.6. That's good news. Whether it is really every month or simply once in a while matters little.

I find it surprising that they mention timelines for updates, makes me a bit nervous I'm not gonna lie..
But hopefully that doesn't detract from improvements to already existing parts of the sim, such as multiplayer, as much as 1.6 has improved things I'm sure LFM has provided them with a lot of info into what needs to be improved further.

I'll be 67 years old in 2 weeks. My entire life I have driven Fords, starting with a 65 Mustang. Bring on the Ford's!

I fully agree agree with this and have helped others to try this as well. Every single car I get in, the clutches go to 2 and the preload at least halved if not more. Kind of sick of doing it. It should be the default setup. You should have to add more diff lock if you need it rather than the cars being so bricked by default. People don't realize this but the diff settings make a huge difference in how the car makes a corner. Enters a corner and more importantly to some, exits a corner. Better throttle control feels a lot nicer than flooring it out of a corner and letting the diff take care of the rest. That's what's making a lot of this "slidey" stuff.

What I hope for 2025 (even more than new content) is a regular cadence of patches (say every month or so) with bug fixes, small (or big) QOL improvements and general polishing. And the focus really being put on fixing the more important bugs (they accumulate faster than they can be fixed in the relevant thread), including long well-known standing ones that can be easily reproduced (shaking car in pitstop anyone ?).

A full GT3 IMSA grid would be fab. That and the Acura GTP.

A filled out Group A car set would be the dream. Opel, Alfa Romeo, Ford, Toyota.
But also a ballast feature so that the Audi Quattro isn't the one car that blows away the whole field.

I dont know if they had active suspension, I know that in 96 the Calibra had some sort of active aero, but that was already ITC I think, the excessive investment was the class doom, seems like the brands were spending almost F1 levels of money in it.

I just wish the championship mode is brought up to date with the new 1.6 additions soon... It should have IMO priority over new content

    This.
Add a Gen 2 and fill it with the Alfa 155, Opel Calibra and the Mercedes C-Class (basically the cars from the '95 season just like what happened recently with Raceroom). Would love to have this touring car generation in AMS2, they are spectacular and drive as if Group C and normal touring cars had a child together. :D

plus a lot of these spread over to e.g. early 90s BTCC... I make the same mistakes as John Cleland at Oulton park and I want to prove it in the same car!

Same, even more since is the only thing close to "career mode" we have inside the game without using any external apps.

Yep gimme GROUP A or DTM as you could name it. Would also love to have BTCC. And I know we have a lot of F1 content but some tracks like Paul-Ricard, Istanbul Park etc. And the content I would have loved the most is F1 2007/2008 the most beautiful F1 cars IMO.
