Hopefully we get a Helmet/Suit update for the 95 Season mod. Fingers crossed we get a 97 Skin Pack too
F1 '99 is out ! The 1999 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 53rd season of FIA Formula One motor racing. It featured the 1999 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1999 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a sixteen-race series that commenced on 7 March and ended on 31 October. Defending champion Mika Häkkinen was again awarded the World Driver's Championship. His team McLaren just missed out: it was Ferrari that clinched the World Constructors' Championship by a margin of four points. It was the final season for 1996 world champion Damon Hill. Michael Schumacher was injured on the first lap of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. His brakes failed, and he broke his leg. He missed 6 races and returned at the Malaysian Grand Prix. This Mod-package contains car liveries, in game Reiza-style previews, driver helmets, suits & gloves for the Formula V10 Gen 2 from the 1999 season. This package comes with two special liveries : Fernando Alonso as test driver for Minardi, and the unraced Honda RA099 testing livery. Included is also an custom AI Drivers file with driver names. AI driver skills have been adjusted and finetuned to match the 1999 season. The XML Selector allows you to customize the mod in a very simple way : go to your Automobilista 2 folder and run the "F1_Season_1999_XML_Selector.bat" file. Select a scenario by typing the option of your choice and hit enter. The mod gives you following scenario options to choose from : 1. Round 01,06,07,08,15,16 - Melbourne, Montreal, Magny-Cours, Silverstone, Sepang, Suzuka (Default grid) 2. Round 02 - Interlagos (Sarrazin replaces Badoer in the Minardi) 3. Round 03,04,05 - Imola, Monaco, Barcelona (Badoer is back, Mika Salo replaces Zonta for British American Racing) 4. Round 09,10,11,12,13,14 - A1Ring, Hockenheim, Hungaroring, Spa, Monza, Nurburgring (Mika Salo replaces an injured Michael Schumacher) 5. One of my favorite and nostalgic seasons, remember playing F1 99 on the psx for hours on end with the Jordan and Williams. Thanks for all your hard and excellent work with all these season packs. As soon as Reiza makes the AI use all the different tire compounds and improve their pit strategies/logic, AMS2 will become the best all around sim to simulate all these F1 seasons, thanks to you guys.
Hello community! I'm a big fan of AMS2 especially the classic McLaren MP4 F1 cars from the 80s. I would really love to see the car I consider the most beautiful in F1 history, the McLaren MP4/5 from the 1989 season, included. It's the perfect combination of the 1988 MP4/4 and the 1990 MP4/5b. Is it possible that there will be a new pack that includes the cars from this season? Does anyone else have this wish for 2025?
In the vehicles folder of the game, there is a folder for the MP4/5. So, maybe the car will enter the game someday. Let's wait and see.
Our F1 1992 Season v1.3 update is out now here on OverTake. This adds many additional liveries, new menu previews, helmets, recalibrated custom AI and an improved XML Selector. The update brings the lower half of the grid into focus - where liveries often changed from race to race (March and Lotus being the most obvious examples - with both teams now having a unique livery for almost every championship round). You now have the opportunity to race for (or against) one of the least competitive teams in F1 history - the legendary Andrea Moda Formula! Also making an appearance is the most recent female driver to attempt to qualify for an F1 race - Giovanna Amati, along with some other part-timers from the season - Larini, Zanardi, Lammers and Naspetti. The now slightly fancier XML Selector (it's still just a batch file ) includes a branching menu with a set of historical presets covering every round of the 1992 season, plus some extras allowing you to try ‘What if’ scenarios. We've also included a 'Random Preset' option for the less decisive/more adventurous among you. This loads one of the available presets and suggests a team for you to drive for. I really hope that both the Formula V10 categories end up with more car models so that the excellent skin pack for 99 will be on more than just one car model to differentiate them
