What do you mean with „set up VR for correct scale“? Isn’t VR scale always correct automatically so that we don’t have to fiddle around with such settings or FOV (which is only relevant for 2D mode)? At least I’ve never touched such settings…
Only thing I noticed is that in VR in go-karts I get another „feeling“ like in all other cars. It’s like if the lense distance would be a bit different so that if feels more straining for the eyes. Some kind of fisheye-effect when watching the surroundings which could lead to motion sickness. Weird, but can’t describe it better. No problem in all other cars though…

I have set my world scale to 0.97 to match my real life hands when racing. Otherwise the hands looks way to big compared to mine

Do you have tiny hands in real life? ;)
    Sorry, I couldn't resist it :D
Jokes aside, the scale and having it "right" is so essential for immersion. I'm more concerned about the legs though and the massive racing shoes that the virtual model has.

    Try it yourself.
Set an acurate scale up with a car you can get the correct dimensions from the real world car specs.
Measure the distance to the passenger door from the real car spec.
Place something in the real world as a marker at the correct distance and then adjust the virtual scale so it accurately matches what the real world scale should be.
Change cars a few times , something like GT1 , Super V8, etc and you'll see the interiors all scale wrong.
Then pull up next to one of the crowd or martials standing around the track. Stand up from your rig and walk away from the car so you're outside. You'll find the world scale is sized more in line with children than adults.

What I'm saying is that to match the outside the car world the scale should be something around 110% while the inside car scale is usually around 92-95%. This will vary depending on your headset etc. But you get the idea. There's no consistency in virtual object sizes within the game. I'd like there to be.

Ok thanks for explaining. Hope that Reiza will do the maths then and correct the scale.

Have a Touristfarten mode for Nordschleife where it’s not flat out racing, but a complete mixture of cars, driving, cruising, flat out, crashed and limping back to the car park and has the full car park with the Devils Dinner where you start and finish. Sit in the car park and just watch cars coming and leaving etc… upload_2025-2-22_15-41-23.jpeg

Request idea please: option for "number of visible cars" to kick in only when headlights come on.
