Will give It a try again, because after some Link update, I'm stuck at 80Hz, because anything up shows now drop spikes in encoding.

Until now, I was completely in your opinion that USB Link should be the best. Honestly, Ethernet to USB changes things even further. And from what I've read, you have a slightly better system than me? (5600x 32GB 4700Rtx). You should even get better results than me.

Experiment with turning off MSAA and increasing the resolution in OpenXR Toolkit instead. Combined with foveated rendering, etc., you save so much headroom that you can achieve impossible resolutions with almost no latency using the cropped FOV.

If you don't like it, just return the ~€15 adapter to Amazon.
But honestly... you want to see this ;D

Ps: After plugging in the adapter, it takes up to 10 seconds for the Internet to work.

In the Virtual Reality setting, there's an option for gaze control that's "Manual Select". Is there a way to rebind the "Select" for this? I can't find this in the configuration menu.

The menu says "the associated "select" button on your mouse, keyboard, controller, or wheel." And I can interact with it with the enter key on my keyboard but I don't have easy access to my keyboard when I'm in VR so I'd like to rebind this on my wheel.

can you not control the menu with the buttons on your wheel?

Not on default no. Using a Cube Control CSX3. I don't see where I assign controls to the wheel to control the menu.

How do you do that? I always thought it would be great to see my hands and physical steering wheel inside VR like that.

I know this question has been asked before but I haven't been able to find an answer to it using search and - um - reading 196 pages of posts is.... ahhhh

VR world scale - today during a long pit stop I got out of my F V10 Gen 2 car and had a look around. I stood next to the rear wheels and they came up to my chest (EDIT: and I don't think I was standing below ground - although maybe...??). I understand IRL these tyres were 660mm diameter - so a little over knee height (roughly!) and definitely not chest height.

Is there a way to scale things down by about 50%?

The cockpit feels right though (or maybe I'm just used to it) so not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it's a quirk of my system... any thoughts?

To me the scale in a few AMS2 cars feels off from tiny steering wheels to large cabins. You can adjust the world scale while incar, press pause and then there is an option to adjust the mirror angle, in that menu you can adjust world scale. I cant remember the option name but its there.

Yes. In the VR cockpit menu, the one which shifts the seat position up and down, there's a world scale setting.
But the games world scale is off anyway, You can set it correct to one car and it'll be off in a different car. You can set the car to the correct real world height and then see the people in the stands are 3ft tall.

There's an 'override world scale' option under Steam VR, under Video settings and per application. Although i've not noticed an issue.
Does anyone know if there is any chance of Reiza implementing improvements for VR? DCS and MS2024 doing Fixed Foveated Rendering in game, this would really help in AMS2. Also Rain and night performance is still a huge performance hit.

I highly doubt it. If VR support didn't come with the madness engine, we probably wouldn't even have VR in ams2.
    Would be nice though

Thanks for all the replies. The F V10 Gen 2 feels right in the cockpit and that’s really all that matters… so I’ll leave it as it is. Nice to know I can adjust if I want to in other cars.

Lol, yesterday I was looking for that option but couldn’t find it. (I had to reinstall my PC, so everything was lost, including all the AMS2 settings, preferences, etc.)
Is it in the same menu where you adjust the seat position? I didn’t see the world scale function there — probably just overlooked it. I always have it set a bit higher than the default. But as I said, no luck finding the option.

You have to be in the car currently to see the option. It's not there in the regular menus. So open a race, or test day, whatever. Once in car, don't drive, select options at top right window. Then select cockpit configuration. Right between the seat positioning and the mirror positioning will be the "World Scaling" option. Again, it only shows up once you're in a car set to go. Ideally it would be there under cockpit configuration all the time, but for some reason it's not. This is only available for VR as far as I can tell as it doesn't appear if I try to race on a monitor.

Yeah, that is what I thought as well. The same place as it is for years, even in PC2. But I did not see it. Will take another look later this week. Thanks. :D

Thanks for the suggestion, although I'm unsure why a "VR Select" bind isn't available in the options for those that want to turn this option on.
