@Dmytro Yaroshenko Can you turn off Steam Input in controller and see if that fixes it? Right click on AMS2. Controller and then turn Steam Input off.

Hello, could someone help me? I have a Neo GT and a HUD x Neo (simagic). Both wheels are configured and the keys are correctly assigned, saved on a different profile. When I change wheels, in the command menu I choose the configured profile of the wheel, in the game, no key assignment works but they are clearly visible in the assignment menu, I have to reconfigure them each time. Any solution?

Hi, I have a Thrustmaster t818 that works fine with all sims but ams 2. It clips and disconnects at times even though I run the ffb at gentle strengths to avoid the problem. I've tested this with other sims and I can max the ffb to make it almost impossible to turn where in ams bandanas, bumps or the wheel freeturning after a crash sends the base into a hard reset, the light goes pink and I can control the car for a few seconds. I have reinstalled the drivers and firmware repeatedly and now works fine with acc, ac and rf2, even on pc2 based on the same engine but I can't play ams 2. Anyone had similar issues? Can anyone help? I love ams' content and current state of developement but it's frustrating to have this problem at every race. Cheers!

I have also sent the base to thrustmaster 'cause it failed with all sims at first and it was checked and verifyed bt them. Since then only ams sends the wheel into a crash

Solved. I am assuming there is a flaw in the design. With strong bumps the usb cable in the back of the base gets loose and forces restart. I tucked it in and taped it and now I can dial up the ffb as much as I want. I guess there is something in the vertical effects in AMS2 that made it more sensible to that than other sims, wether that is good or bad I don't know.

Subject: Reporting Persistent Online Freezes After Recent Update

    Dear Reiza Studios Team,

Our community, ProjectGT, regularly hosts championships in Automobilista 2, with 20-30 drivers participating per server. At any given time, we may run 3-4 concurrent championships in a single month.

However, since the latest update, many of our drivers have been experiencing frequent freezes during online races. So far, we’ve been unable to identify any clear pattern or root cause for these issues. Notably, this problem did not occur prior to the update.

We kindly ask you to investigate this matter and let us know if you’re aware of any potential solutions or underlying causes. Our community is eager to assist with testing or providing additional details if needed.

Thank you for your attention and continued support.

    Best regards,
    ProjectGT Community

    @DmitryWSI

    Hi there,

If your participants are experiencing freezing during online gameplay, please make sure that UDP is set to inactive and that the in-game rating system is turned off. These features in tandem can cause stuttering or instability during online sessions. After making these adjustments, have them restart the game and check if the situation improves.

Let us know if it helps!

Great news! You could ask your participants to set 'Pitcrew detail' to 'Player only' or 'none'. For some users 'Full' can cause stuttering when entering the pits or whenever someone else is entering the pits. @DmitryWSI

A friend of mine and me both still have an issue with the Thrustmaster T598 base: When I end a race and go back to the main menu the base loses all ingame telemetry (like gear, lap, speed, ...) and even effects like gear jolt stop working.
Has anyone else here the same wheelbase and can give me a workaround? Or just say "It's the same for me, you cant do anything, deal with it." :D
(Thrustmaster support says it must be an problem with AMS2 since it does not occur in other titles.)

    Subject: Performance Drops During Races/Qualifying

    Dear Reiza Studios Team,
Thank you for your response. We’ll try disabling 'Pitcrew detail' and monitor the results.
We’re writing to report recurring performance issues during races and qualifying sessions. Yesterday, multiple drivers experienced simultaneous performance drops during an LFM-hosted race.

    Issue Details:

    • During VR qualifying, framerates plummeted to 40 FPS (from a stable 80), with severe stuttering and uneven frametimes.
    • In the race, the problem began after completing one lap and worsened when passing the pitlane.
    • Key observation: Performance temporarily restored to normal when PIT or during pre-race preparations if the player opened the car setup menu.
    Hardware/Environment:

    • GPU (RTX 4070 Super) showed minimal load, no apparent CPU (Ryzen 7 5700X) bottleneck.
    • 32GB RAM
    • Track: Interlagos GP
    • 30 drivers in session
    Additional Reports:
Other players encountered similar FPS drops on flat screens (e.g., one user’s framerate fell from 120+ to 35).

Could you advise how to prevent these performance dips? Our community (PGT) would greatly appreciate any insights.

This behavior appears to be exceptional - across my 500+ hours in AMS2 (both on screen and in VR), I've only encountered it a handful of times. However, when it occurs, it completely ruins the racing experience.

    Best regards,
    PGT Community

    Hello,

Can you please write me which VR-glasses are used? A colleague told me his friends had VR issues as well. They were using Quest 3. After a 'wipe' of their Quests 3 the issues started to dissappear in AMS2 and other titles. It has some sort of cache, he said. That's also something you can try if people are using Quest 3.

Interesting - do you have any details of the mentioned "wipe" procedure? Is that a factory reset or something else? I'm assuming it's not about wiping with a dry cloth ;)

I've no idea. I don't own a Q3, but I think a wipe means a clean state wipe of the Q3. I bet it's a factory reset or anything similar.

I recently did a factory reset of my headset.

Yesterday, my teammate (we're in the same racing team) experienced FPS drops to 35 during the same race, and it stayed that low for the entire session. In the previous race on the same track but with a different car class, he had stable ~80 FPS.
After discussing it, we concluded both of us had our performance cut in half - me in VR, him on a flat monitor. This all happened during the same race session. He was streaming, and the FPS counter was visible in both races, so this can be easily verified.

This supplemental information may assist in diagnosing the performance issues.

very strange issue, myself and others haven't experienced those issues at all, both in VR and single/triple screen, however it does seem to occur more during LFM races, which makes me wonder if one of the scripts they are running on their servers might be causing those issues.

we've ran an 2 hour endurance event at Spa last Saturday, nobody had any framedrops at all, same goes for our 40 minute regular league events.

The issue with the Meta/Oculus headsets is a issue with an update from Meta breaking the link function, this doesn't affect any fps related issues, it can only cause it to disconnect the headset after a short or longer period @Marius H

there has to be something that causes these issues, do we know if this happens mostly or only on LFM servers?

Maybe a link to the stream replay would be useful .
