Content Roadmap Discussion/Speculation (The 'Sherlock' Thread)

I was expecting the new stock cars later this year (november, december...) But an announcement that they are coming would be nice. The Brazilian stock cars are still favorites of mine and I don't even watch that series (I live in Canada and there's no video in English of the real life races.)

 

I'm hoping to see a couple of wild horses next month.

 

What do you think are the chances we will see 2025 liveries for IMSA classes?

There are already some 2025 liveries available for download on some sites.

 

Guys, a question for all the members who like to try to guess what will come in the update, (like me), just to help pass the time and have something cool to read, (since Renato didn't write anything to us). What do you think will come new in the update, except the content of course, like, I'll give you an example. I believe we can have the Qualy in the format of F1, or at least in the format of the endurance, with separate categories, or (what I want so much) Q1, Q2, and Q3, some are already expecting a change of drivers, so guys, what would you like or expect and or believe will come in this next update?

 

I think mid session saves could come with the July update

Well, I would eat my hat if I owned one. Not necessarily in one piece, though.

 

Mid session saves would be huge. But for longer races I would hope for adjustments to AI pit strategy, it seems like they still have no clue what to do for timed races where often pit very fast or right before the end.

Otherwise I would love to see mp races being able to setups race 1 and race 2 for a session and the extended AI options coming for mp AI. And that qualify in multiclass happens for each class on its own

Edit: And hopefully we finally get a fix for driving assists turning on im mp every session

 

I thought mid session saves were impossible because of how live track works?

 

From what I remember Renato saying it wasn't necessarily impossible, but at the time the team hadn't had a close enough look to see how involved the process would be and if it would be feasible given other features and content that demanded attention. If I had to take an educated guess they would have to make some significant changes under the hood of the Livetrack system in order to make it possible... But then again, we've seen Reiza work their magic before, so I'm not giving up hope just yet.

 

Mid session saving Is what I Hope since release. I can live with not working live track if I can play real Endurance races.

 

I was very disappointed when I heard that the custom AI files will not make it into the MP.

But I am very happy about every configuration option for the AI in MP that is still to come!

 

Just some safe speculation here, but along with the Aston Martin GT3 and the Valkyrie, the next update might bring the Alpine GT4, Aston GT4 (GTE?), Ford Mustang GT3, the Acura Hypercar, some LMP3s, and who knows, maybe even the MX-5?
As for tracks, I could totally see Lime Rock Park, Mid-Ohio, Zolder, Portimao or Detroit showing up plus Sonoma Raceway down the line with the NASCAR pack.

 

I sounded to me like we see more AM down the line, so with already 2 in the next Endruance pack (GT3, LMDh) I doubt we will see more for the Endruance Pack 3 DLC in July. Seems like the street version will be in a different pack. From the missing GT3s of Mustang, Lexus, Acura and Ferrari I think Mustang and Lexus are most likely to be added too. Acura would only make sense as a package with the LMDh to me.

To me personally Mustang and Ferrari would be my dream additions to the pack. I somehow don't think we will see Ferraris anytime soon.

 

Mustang and Lexus , why not indeed . But for Ferrari ? i think we will never have this brand on AMS2. I mean officially.

 

May I ask why you believe that?

 

Kunos and Iracing "bonds", very expensive licence even with the IMSA help, Reiza is a "small" studios so it's quite difficult to negociate these licences.

Like i said it's just a thought , i will happy to see that i'm wrong about this.

 

Raceroom has Ferrari and AFAIK they are 8 devs

 

LMU has official GT3 Ferraris too though
