The Feature Request Thread...

Not only because of MP, but it has a huge impact. There are the same classes except for some cars in AMS2, and the active player count is less than half of the LMU. Both games have almost identical LMP/GT3 class physics. Yet, AMS2 has much more content than LMU.

If AMS2 has a career mode, this wouldn't be the case but MP has a huge impact now until career mode is implemented.

Edit: There are also other things like more engaging developers, frequent updates that keep interest alive. Cannot deny this.

 

LMU provides a more polished experience than AMS2 overall.

AMS2 is good and fun, but it has cracks everywhere, and it has been like that for many years now. Won't list them because it would potentially derail the thread, but I believe this unfinished everywhere state AMS2 has does play a role on its lesser popularity.

 

It would also be a cool feature if, when you drive into the pits, the windshield was cleaned if it was dirty after a few laps. That's annoying when the sun is shining on it.That you always get the windshield cleaned automatically in the box

 

I'd like to see the AI cars get dirty first as that's been on my personal wishlist for quite some time.

 

Can we have a keyboard shortcut to the Option Menu?
I can control the entire game via my wheels buttons and joystick but can't go into the options menu without using a mouse.

 

Would be nice to have drs zones also in non f1 tracks.

Bus stop chicane swerves right first. Was changed to current situation in 2006/07.

 

A brief bridge to a reworked multiplayer system would be to have Leauges in-game. Where instead of championships being solo, you can create a leauge and select which of the championships the leauge will run.
Having a constructors points tab along with the drivers would also improve immersion when in championships. Gives you more to drive for than just yourself

 

As someone mentioned before, It would be really cool to have the authentic timing sectors for the upcoming Nordschleife track update.

with so much discussion on ffb & different profiles could the devs add into the options
“ Advanced FFB settings “
List of sliders things like scrub, cornering forces, suspension , brake feel etc

that would save users a hell of a lot of time & potentially harness much more enjoyment out of the sim

to add my ffb is dire & I have a high end setup , with a bit of fiddling inside a custom file that I downloaded I’ve got it half decent but many wasted hours already
I shouldn’t need to fiddle with files etc

I would say so but everyone has their own bias. I play 90% online and thus iracing and LMU are my time fillers. I'd love to have the variety of cars and tracks AMS2 brings in a ranked, moderated, matchmaking system ala those two sims and imho I think it would really help AMS2 continue to grow.

 

Request Title: Ability to have Livery Override only Change Team/Livery Name and use default skin.
Description: Currently Livery Overrides require at minimum: PreviewImage & Body Image dds. I would like to be able to use the default skins but have them renamed. For example, I would love the below to work, which unfortunately currently just results in an empty plain white skin & empty preview image.

Description: the Aston Martin GTE will apparently be added (according to Overtake) and, according to Wikipedia, it has 5 way adjustable Öhlins dampers. I feel like we should be able to fully utilise the dampers
Benefits: be able to fully utilise the given equipment.

 

You're in for a long wait, I think. The focus seems to be on endurance racing and American stock cars. I'm hoping for news eventually about the historic Le Mans track layouts, so we can race the Group C and GT1 cars on it.
I admit, I am bit skeptical about adding NASCAR to AMS2, unless it also includes a lot of ovals like Bristol, Charlotte, Darlington, Martinsville, etc. NASCARs on road courses don't interest me much.

 

I wouldnt hold my breath over other US ovals, though. IRacing is making a NASCAR game and NASCAR owns a lot of the ovals, so unlikely they want to undermine a game fully commited to them.

 

Yep! Wasn't very popular with drivers back in the day. But growing up I always remember it being the version I would use the most whenever playing Ralf Hummerich's EA F1 Challenge season 2004/05 mods

 

Speaking of tracks some others came to mind as well since I'm remembering all the track mods I had for F1 challenge back then

Lemans w/no chicanes: The Sauber Mercedes Group-C could be fun with this configuration

Crystal Palace: Has a longer layout that I've yet to see anyone create. Another interesting historical track to think about

Mid-Ohio: Since I love it and also have seen requests for it all over the place

Also thank you Reiza for securing that Aston Martin license. Really excited for the Valkyrie lmdh to get added
