That's a legend talking right there. I wish you a very long and healthy life with strong hands and eye sight cruising through the beautiful memories of the real machines that you and some of us were lucky enough to experience physically and mentally.
What I really like about AMS2 is the opportunity to keep those old memories alive in a decent way. My first car was a 1975 BMW 2002 Turbo (my 15 minutes warm up car on AMS2 before I start the day). My dad bought it for me after getting my driver's license, booked a hotel over a 1000 miles away for me and my gf, handed the keys and said; have fun.
I crashed the car a few months later on a race track in Tehran. The car actually flipped three times. I was hit by another car (pit maneuver style) that we deal with in online racing these days everyday. We restored the car, but it was never the same. The next project car was a Datsun 240Z.
You are right, AMS2 was built around the legends that are way more than a dream car today and that's exactly why it's the only racing sim on my PC today.
    Best Regards,
    Sean

    Cheers Dan
Nice profile , I’m trying the 1st one for my bodnar simsteering

I’m making a few tweeks trying to get a bit more flex rubber feel plus some subtle texture effects

the downforce needed reducing a lot
    Tested the dallaha f3
-going from a non downforce formula trainer

the f3 felt squashed to the track surface but I think I’ve sorted it just a bit more fine tweeking

I have assumed these are the best for the current version of ams2

let me know if I can increase the rubber flex effect

    thanks for posting these

Wow, a Leo Bodnar base. The second generation and the 52, 53, or 54?A dream base that I unfortunately haven't had my hands on yet.I think it's only comparable to a Simucube Ultimate. This base will be difficult to compare with others because it works absolutely linearly and precisely.I'm impressed:)

yes 2nd gen I went for the 53
    Great system
But pressure on to use great ffb sims so to utilise the system , rf2 always been my favorite with my tweeks to the .ini ffb file

just trying to harness the best out of ams2 now as it seems to be a good & credible sim since all the updates

Yes, Ams2 has become a very credible simulation. I always had trouble with Rf2, but only with dds. Belt/gear bases are probably still the benchmark today. With dds, you have to edit the file, and I'm sure with a base like the Bodner base, there's still a lot that can be improved. I think they're the only ones who have managed to recreate the natural feel of belt bases in their dd bases with the 2nd generation. I'd love to test a base like that, but unfortunately, I've never had the chance

I bought it as I knew it would be a once only purchase & I’d never have to upgrade it or repkace it due to wear , it doesn't even grow warm or clip due to its power, it’s truly fluid.
I think of ffb systems similar to hifi speakers, good speakers are defined through the range & uncluttered when the output (music/sounds) become complex

yea brill what’s happening with ams2 now,
I also setup low fuel motorsports all good

be great if ams2 devs would have an advanced option page for ffb , sliders for all the possible forces, braking / suspension / surface texture / etc

then people can quickly tune the ffb to their system & taste

For AMS2 have a lot of setting up to do as after ffb it’s the motion side on my rig , really more a winter thing but why wait for a good thing.

Thank you for hooking me on the base now. Around the corner from me, a 54 Ultimate is for sale. What do you think I've just written? :p Invoice follows!

Thank you for the kind words and best wishes, Sean. Truly much appreciated. I must say, I envy you for having owned (and raced!) such desirable cars. As you said, AMS2 is like no other to take a quick walk down memory lane. Enjoy!

Thank you for the kind and heartfelt response, Karsten. You can be assured that I will be here as long as I possibly can. My wife is kind enough to help me type my responses, so I have no excuse! I look forward to the update; but it will have to be something very special if it is to be better than the current 3.9.4! Cheers, and thank you once again, Karsten.

Ohh... I'm curious to see if this will be a deal. But I'll check if it's the second generation. Feedback is welcome if the deal actually happens:D

Hi all, happy to see this thread is still thriving with all the dedicated tinkerers.
Been tinkering myself since the last update and quite happy with it so here it is, it's tuned for my my Moza R12 so any other bases may need more adjustments.

    In Game Settings
    Gain around 60
    LFB 0
    FX 20 ish
    Damping 50 ish
    Moza Pithouse Settings
    Basic Settings
    Steering Angle 900
    Both forces 100%

    Advanced Settings
    Natural Inertia 150
    Everything else off

    FFB Equaliser 100% straight line
    Base ffb Curve Linear

Modded from the @Stakanov Atmos file (hope you're ok bud).
Good to see you back again doing your thing @Karsten Hvidberg, I knew you couldn't stay away!
