Are we really talking about SIM Dashboard?
SIM Dashboard Android and iOS App

If so, I'd love to know how that works... The only way I know how to access via a browser is using the Server app for PC to edit designs, but that can't provide real-time data output as far as I am aware.

If you open SimHub on the pc, and go to the Dash Studio, at the top of the list of available dashboards, on the right, is an option for open in phone or tablet. This will open up a dialogue with a QR code or URL to open with your device.

Sorry I just realised this thread is about SIM Dashboard

    Hey everyone! It's been a while. :)

Truth be told, I haven't been working on any new dashboards recently. As a matter of fact, since I rarely use my tablet anymore (it's so ancient by now it may as well be made of stone, ha!) and thus don't use any of the dashboards I made, I have been wondering if this is a project that is worth continuing. Let's be honest - most players who need any kind of extra telemetry just use Simhub (except for me, it seems), so I am posting here to gauge if there is even anyone left who would or actually does use any of my dashboards for AMS2 (or any other sim, for that matter).

It's been a fun project to work on every now and then, but if I myself won't even use the dashboards (unless perhaps I can ever afford to build a proper simrig and get new gear) and there's not much interest in them... what's the point?

So, if you actively use SIM Dashboard and any of my designs, please leave a comment and let me know. As always, there's new content for AMS2 on the horizon, and if I am to supply the corresponding dashboard designs for the app, I need to know so I start working on them ASAP. :D

I have a question, how do you make the outer parts of a dashboard? (See image as I’m referring to carbon fibre and the structure of the dash which looks like it’s a piece from a car)

The one in your example uses one of the dashboard graphics that comes with the SIM Dashboard app. For the ones I make myself, I use Photoshop.

The process can vary depending on what I need for a specific car, but for many of my designs I found it easy to use a screenshot of the dashboard from within AMS2 as a base and then edit the graphics within Photoshop to suit my needs. Others have been made completely from scratch, as well.

As for things like the LEDs, these are all parts of the widgets within the app itself, so you're limited to the (usually highly configurable) options of each SIM Dashbord widget. If I remember correctly, this is one aspect where Simhub offers a little more freedom, as you can even use and customize your own images for things like shift lights, etc.

That being said, you can use completely custom graphics for analog dials in SIM Dashboard as well, plus use the built-in editor to come up with highly customizable dial setups within a few minutes.

I have Sim Dashboard and actually prefer it to SimHub because for my needs, I find it simpler and easier to use. I haven't used it in some time though, as I was having some EMI issues with my rig a while ago that I was trying to troubleshoot and therefore removed from my rig the phone and bracket that I was using as a second screen. I never got around to reattaching it, since it was around that time that I really started getting more into AMS2, but was unable to find any really good dashes.

I stumbled across this thread the other day, and now find that I'm spoiled for choice! So... just wanted to express my appreciation for your dedication and hard work, I'll definitely be downloading a few of these and giving them a go!
