I am still convinced that steam sales are key release targets for DLC... I was unaware of the Racing Fest but I am sure that this will be a strong candidate for some major DLC releases!

Can someone help me, I notice that in most races the CPU is much faster than me on the straights, is there any explanation or how to configure it?

 

If this happens in all races, it's either because the AI is set too high, or perhaps your brakes are slightly active. To check, you need to activate the telemetry view and pay attention to the brake deflection bars. If the brake bar remains active even though you're not braking, you need to activate a small dead zone when calibrating the pedals.

StockCar Brasil 2025 is on a confusing path, while Nascar Brasil is on the rise and Reiza has all the championship tracks, all that's missing is the car...

 

Great photos, they really make me think that it would be fun to have the NASCAR Brasil stock cars in the sim. Question from a Canadian: is the StockCar Brasil more or less popular than the NASCAR Brasil series?

By the way, there's a Canadian NASCAR series too, but the cars don't look as good as the NASCAR Brasil cars...

 

Hello, I'm on vacation, so I don't have the opportunity to try the DLC.
Could someone tell me where the famous shortcut on the Norschleife is?

 

Stockcar changed the cars and engines this year, now they are SUV models without V8 engines, the cars have been problematic and lost their pleasant sound. Nascar Brazil is a new category with long-distance races, night races and the possibility of racing on ovals from next year, it would really be great to see this category in AMS 2!!

 

I noticed the lights on the NASCAR Brasil cars, they look really good. In fact, these cars look a lot better than the American Nascars.

 

I agree here. I still think that Forza Motorsport 8 is several steps above the competition when it comes to the visual presentation of Night-schleife'ing, but it has the benefit of the newer engine and ray-traced reflections, ambient occlusion, and global illumination. The combination of those effects with the texture/material work is truly stunning and experiencing the neon colors of the crowd lights/celebrations as they wash across the darkened cockpits delivers unmatched visual immersion.

On the flip side of that, FM8 is now a dead game with a publisher who didn't support the studio and cared only about next quarter's earnings report (amongst all its other serious problems). Thankfully, folks like us who enjoy these types of games are currently doing well.

They often say that you often don't appreciate the time you lived through the 'good old days' until you reflect later in life. Well, we are currently living through the good old days right now. There are so many sims/sim-cades available now offering all sorts of great experiences. Independent of your personal preferences, having 6-7 games offering solid (if not outright spectacular) Nordschleife recreations is truly an abundance of riches that we may never see again.

 

The one & only thing FM2023 does better than most other racing games is the trackside illumination & lighting which have correct IES light measurements (also helped by the fact that it's authored in HDR).
