I'd prefer testing things myself and play the game if I like it rather than relying on opinions from the interwebs.

The physics have to be cut down for various reasons, two being most prominent:
    1. PC required to simulate reliably real physics are not quite widely available nor quick enough
    2. Development alone would make such simulation to cost similarly to iRacing, but per minute, not per month to make ends meet.
So no title will be properly realistic in the near future and some content creators will have endless material to roast ;)

I find sim comparisons by Coach Dave to be quite interesting, as he has RL racing experience + sim-coaching and also consults with game developers to improve physics for increased realism. He also speaks to differences between tire brands in RL racing and how they correlate to simulation realism - at least to some degree.

I feel like you shouldn’t listen to a guy who called AMS2 fans concussed. Calling someone names for not liking what you like is odd IMO

GM recently drove the Valkyrie around Nords , a very aero dependent car around a track it’s was never designed for , and was just sending it into corners, with wild steering inputs and complaining about it just loosing control when he had the thing lifting of the track ….

quantified his knowledge by using the same old tune, I’ve driven a Stripped out celica and a radical ( slowly and nowhere near the limit ) and half a dozen boring road cars despite having no license, but ultimately has learned car behaviour from years of Sims , especially AC . So he knows what he’s talking about.

It is often easy to confuse the opinionated with the informed.

The complaints he makes about AMS 2 now are not the same ones he used to make. Suddenly the tires are peaky, etc. etc. when it used to be that they were too forgiving.
He also happily comments his approval/agreement on Niels Heusinkveld's videos about the throttle model that is 'proper' in AMS1, 2 etc. and not AC, but then complains about AMS2 on throttle behaviour (and other aspects) "that's not how real cars drive".

People are so desperate to find someone who knows because it's hard to have the confidence in one's own opinion. And too often the person who is critical of things will seem more informed because, well, he is showing discernment, he must know what he is talking about. There is little true correlation between the two.

I wonder, has @Renato Simioni already figured out what is gonna be AMS3?

We know that it will not use the Madness engine, since it belongs to EA now.

AMS2 is already 5 years old, and a new project will not see the sunlight before at least 3 years of work.

Of course, Reiza wants to make AMS2 profitable as much as possible, but with new sims coming to the market, it is fair to say it will not last twice its age, especially without a strong mod community.

What do you think about this, guys?

I would love to see Reiza working with another graphic engine - apart from UE - to see what they can deliver with all the expertise they have now.

Anyone know when the vantage GTE template will be updated? The download gives you the gt4 at the moment l, was hoping to do some liveries whilst I've got the time.

Juist as AMS2 inherited some things (cars, some tracks) from AMS1, whatever AMS3 is like, AMS4 will be fought with sticks and sto...

AMS 3 will have so much 'starting material', modulo licenses, that it will likely be incredible whenever it appears. The truth is that really racing simulators are kind of 'solved' in a way that say, FPS or adventure games can't really be. What more could a sim want than, good physics, FFB and a massive selection of cars and tracks? Other than an extremely deep and interesting career mode (which AMS2 is planned to have anyway, and based on the little i've heard it sounds exactly like i'd like).

Daytona update ? You want the backstretch to resemble the real-life parking lot version ?!

Hello, I am writing to Raiza Studios and the AMS2 developers.
I noticed two things the first is that the Formula 1 V10 Gen 2 vehicles have no visible contact with the road surface they float a little in the air .
And the second thing is the camera setting in the replay does not remain constant because what I have selected constantly changes to a different camera view.
I hope that both problems will be resolved soon. Thank you in advance.

Thank you and have a nice week

What camera view have you chosen? I’ve also felt like some setting changes can be done to make cars look more connected. BTW Reiza studios are the AMS2 developers

I wasn’t sure were to ask it, but I few updates back I remember something of the likes of limiting tires on a race weekend. I wonder what happened with that?

I'm monitoring this feature too. Looks like it's still in the works and probably will release in pack with similar features that were described like you lose some of the session time while returning to pits if you crashed in qualy and practice and may even not make it to race. Sounds immersive tbh.

    Hi!!
Yes, those are two important points.
I'd add that you can customize the cameras in an .xml file and fast-forward through training and qualifying sessions, because if you hit go at the end, the AI will perform unrealistic, stratospheric times.
    Regards!!
