Some cars in game , with shadows turned of or on low, have a shadow mesh that adds just enough shadowing to make the car not look like it is floating, but some models do not have this mesh, so when in multi class, some cars have the shadow mesh and some don't and makes it look a little odd. I would kindly ask the cars that does not have the shadow mesh be given the shadow mesh. P.S, I don't know the term but i am sure you understand 'shadow mesh', which is a dark square that looks to be between the tyres and tar when shadows are turned off. Cheers.

Maybe, just maybe, it would be a good idea to put Sound Detail to Max by default in Audio settings.

I think that these days, almost everyone has a decent sound card that can easily handle even the most demanding sound effects, including the onboard cards that come built with the motherboard.
Additionally, looking at online videos on Youtube, it looks like most people are not using this option and missing some of the immersion the game provides.

Tossing my request in for expanded gamepad rumble/feedback support (ie Xbox pad trigger haptics or DualSense haptics). AMS2 already has some of the better controller support in simracing, but better/additional feedback from the cars would be greatly appreciated, especially for folks who are unable to use wheels/pedals do to injuries/medical.

    Thanks in advance!

For after the 2005 content and more important requests are fulfilled.

Landing a license with Dekra and the Lautzring to create the rather unique long configuration. Which is essentially two oval tracks connected by sections of the road course layouts.

I'd like to hear more dynamic sounds from the cockpit.
Things like creaks from the chassis when you're cornering, random rattles and squeaks, more ticks and tacks from invisible (not the big visible ones we already have) rocks and pieces of rubber from the car ahead hitting the windshield/chassis, that sudden loud CHRRRCH noise you get when driving through a cloud of dust or dirt kicked up by a car ahead going off, more sounds of your own car picking up stuff from the road and flicking it onto the underbody. Just more noises.

It's something I feel like is missing from the overall visceral feeling of driving a racing car.
My personal experience with club racing in real life is that it's an assault on the senses, there are so many noises happening all at once, and you're constantly aware of all of them, because any of them could be the sign of a problem with the car.

And as an additional suggestion, it would be hilarious if that big rock that can be seen flicking up from the car ahead could have a maybe 15% chance to cause your windshield to crack if it hits it.

For gamepad improvements, suggestions, etc, the best thing to do is to post in the gamepad support thread.

    Day and night cycles exist,
    Weather variations are present too.
    Endurance races emerge endlessly,
    And endurance tracks are countless.
Yet why am I still racing in LMU?
Because it lacks the most crucial feature—save functionality.
We hope this vital endurance racing feature will be implemented soon.
After all, we can’t keep our computers running forever!

The ability to save a game at any point as you can in ACC would be a great addition!

I don't expect to save everything at all times, but at least after pulling into the station, let me catch my breath and fight another day tomorrow.

It would be great if Audi and Porsche could be slightly toned down in the GT3 Gen1 class.
I ran tests at Monza, Nürburgring, Imola, and Spa (as shown in the qualifying time screenshots), and both cars are consistently about 8 to 9 tenths of a second faster than the rest of the field.
Bringing them closer to the pace of the fastest Mercedes would improve class balance.
Alternatively, having a parameter in the custom AI driver files to assign ballast to faster cars would also help create a more level playing field.

Can we please bring back (or increase) DoF during replays with the trackside cameras? It was obviously a bit too much in PC2 but now there's barely any in AMS2. :(

    The 1.6.3 changelog mentions:
    • Improved Depth of Field for trackside TV cameras
But frankly there's practically none to be seen now unfortunately. A slightly more pronounced DoF would do wonders to the presentation IMO.

This is a small QoL request; as someone who uses Test Day quite a lot, sometimes I think I'd like to go and race the same combination. Where I've put the green box, it would be nice to have a 'go to race' or 'take settings to race' option, where it goes to the race page with a default race for the car/track combo (in this case, GT4 at Oulton Park at the time/date from test day). 20250810151508_1.jpg

Been playing AMS2 for a month, and here’s a list of little things that really annoy me and I would like them to become features. Thank you!

    1. No detection/pause when controller disconnects/dies. That's an ouch. That's a must have feature guys, come on. Nobody wants to drive into the tyre barrier on the last lap of the race because of that.

    2. No search for cars/tracks. Filters are nice but it would be even MORE nicer to type "aston" in a search box and see all the available cars. Or a class name. Also please make the game remember the selected filter.

    3. Time skip in FP and Qualifying. Let's say I posted a lap I'm confident about but I want to skip until it's about 5-6 minutes till the end of a session to see if I need to do another run.

    4. So the default color theme for menus and stuff is that red-ish one, right? Than makes all the confirm buttons in the garage highlighted with the primary color of the theme, red in this case. And I'm constantly find myself ending sessions when I don't actually want to do it, because the "Drive" button is painted green, but the button that is selected by mouse/controller is highlighted with red. Immediately my brain goes "well surely green is good and I'm about to drive out of the garage" but instead I'm ending the session and staring at the screen thinking what the **** did just happen.

    5. No cloud saves on Steam. I think the game tries to back up something every time I close it but not the folder where your settings/preferences stored in the Documents. But here I'm not really sure what's going on.
Don't take it as a hateful post please. I really want the game to be perfect, that's the only goal of sharing this list. Cheers.

I would like a horizon line to be able to put on screen to help set the horizon height accurately.

The performance gap between cars in different classes is quite significant. For example, in the GT4 class, the G55 is over 3 seconds slower than other cars, making it completely uncompetitive. I hope we can select cars from each class individually to compete in combination races with other vehicles. Relying solely on spec races results in many duplicate liveries, which looks a bit off.

    My Request
This game is great, but there's one thing missing.
I'd like a mod for the one-make race, the Mazda MX5 Cup.
Other popular simulators (iRacing, Assetto Corsa, etc.) are also very popular. I understand the licensing issues, but I think we could create something really great using the AM2 system.
    What do you all think?

I know its a bit early,
But are there any plans in the works for a Formula Ultimate Gen3 to reflect the F1 2026 redesign?

Hi Reiza team and fellow racers,

First of all, thank you for continuing to push the limits of sim racing with Automobilista 2. The way AMS2 captures the feel of both modern and historic race cars is second to none, and the Group C category in particular is already a highlight of the game.

    Nimrod NRAC2.jpg

I’d like to suggest adding the Nimrod NRA/C2 to the car roster. This Aston Martin powered Group C prototype, designed in collaboration with Eric Broadley of Lola Cars, represents a fascinating chapter of endurance racing history. Now that AMS2 has the Aston Martin license, it seems like the perfect opportunity to bring this rare and charismatic machine into the sim. Its aluminium and dural monocoque chassis, combined with a lightweight fiberglass body and adjustable Koni suspension, would make for an incredibly interesting car to simulate. The aerodynamic profile and weight distribution would bring a distinct driving character, offering a contrast to the more famous Group C entries like the Porsche 962C.

Including the Nimrod would not only diversify the Group C lineup in AMS2 but also introduce players to a car that is rarely featured in racing sims. The uniqueness of its design and sound, along with its heritage, could make it a real fan-favorite. With AMS2’s physics engine, there is great potential to capture the subtleties of its handling, from the way it loads up mid-corner to how it manages traction out of slower bends.

Given its rarity, it might work well as part of a DLC pack or a special historic content drop. The community has shown time and again how much it values lesser known racing machines, and the Nimrod could easily become a cult classic within the game.

Thanks for considering this idea, and for all the passion and attention to detail you bring to AMS2. Whether or not it becomes reality, your commitment to celebrating motorsport history is always appreciated.
