AMS2 - User Livery Overrides

Yeah of course the rest of the cars other than the 26 will have random stuff. Set as many cars as you have in the xml file. The game has to select liveries for the 48 cars you have put in the race (you can't have cars with no livery). So, it starts choosing from the AI file - and so the first 26 will be whatever you put in there. After that it will just fill out the class cars randomly. That's why you're getting other cars/skins. It doesn't just re-use the same ones.

If that was how it worked, if you only put one name in the list it would just be a 48-car grid of one car and one name, which is obviously silly.

 

I dont explain well...the track is for 48 cars but I select only 25 AI and me total 26 as the skins that I have for N24.

 

Then you have an error in your XML somewhere. Trust me as someone who has literally said "I quadruple checked and there isn't any errors" I eventually found an error where I was missing a single symbol.

 

Are you using multiclass? When I tried to do an N24 myself, I mixed it up a bit by adding Ligiers, GT4s, GT5s and Minis, and ended up realizing that, to make the GT3 Custom AI work properly and only choose the cars I wanted, I also needed to have a Custom AI file for every single class in the race. If any one of them didn't have a file, the GT3 one would choose random cars, some that I did want and some that I didn't.

 

No. To undestand the issue I use only same class gt3 gen2.

Also, the Valkyrie LMH override file doesn’t include a number plate override psd file for me

Hi everyone, im having an issue with the GT3 aston. This is a shot of the livery. the areas with the Walkenhorst lettering dont show in game. Instead they are all carbon fiber. Same goes for the sides of the spoiler with the AMR. What am I doing wrong?

 

I'm guessing those parts will have a different material assigned to them which is the carbon, I have come across this problem before and the only way to fix is to replace the materials, to do that you have to have access to the .rcf file

 

Thanks I get what you mean I think (one of my first liveries). The vanilla liveries do cover these areas when i look at the DDS file. For now i guess ill work around these areas. Thanks again

not sure if is here i can ask for it if it is not i sorry in advance but

someone knows how to make the windows of the 2019 stock car work? i try everything i know but nothing works i was able to make it work in the 2024 stock car and the sprint race but i have no idea how to make it appear in this one

 

and do what at rcf file cause i have the same issue as i can see this car like the most at corresponding file does not incund rcf file how to extract or i have to create it?

 

It's actually possible in the car showroom if you know how to work with an image editing program, did some first attemps today for IMSA skins to recreate preview images that are close to the original AMS2 images. Go to the showroom, click on the photo function and set the focal lenght to 30.

Move the camera to this position into the garage door, so your heigth is pretty much identical to the sidemirrors and the bar on the right is nearly touching the frontend. This setup is as near as you can get to the original AMS2 preview files.

Then you just need a program like Photoshop or Affinity Photo to carefully cut the car out to a transparent background. Save it as a transparent png and just google for png to dds converter websites, so you can format it correctly. You can use this png file as a template for resolution and how the car should sit to be in line with original preview files.
