Yes. I think you can't notice any difference at around 80-90 frames.

Which headset? Which adapter do you use?

Hello, not great news, I tried for an hour and failed. Getting black screens, game is not projecting as it should. maybe I am tired from jet lag so I didn't run things properly, idk....
I had a run prior modding the drivers and with my current settings and the modified openxrtoolkit that came up few months ago, I was locked at 90fps with high settings so tbh, maybe this Eye tracking thing is not something I need.
but since I hate giving up, I will try again next weekend

One thing I noticed regards VR performance is that heavy rain (with any particles settings, even OFF) have a HUGE performance impact.

Water spray is now really optimized and have good visuals. Maybe it's time to Reiza look at rain effects itself in performance realm.

I didn't have any problems with my settings, also locked in at 90 fps using OpenXR and Virtual Desktop. But now I struggle with the fps going down as low as 60 and I read that the fps are CPU bound and a little bit later GPU bound.
These problems began 2-3 weeks ago. oh, last week I went back to the most stable nvidia driver (566). I haven't figured out what is the cause of all this. Could it be something at Steam level? (although I bypass SteamVR).

I think fps drops are related to light and reflections, at least for me. With rain there are simple more reflections. I get fps drops at sunset for example, but at night (well the majority of the screen is just dark...) performance is fine

My fps in VR is the worst in dark and illuminated circumstances. Far worse than in rain/daylight combo.

This has been an issues in VR for years, I've always noticed a severe performance drop in heavy clouds.

I'm also having awful frame drops where the stream cuts off completely with Virtual Desktop, and the game used to run flawlessly. All other games I've tried perform fine.

I've been using VD for one month. I have a beefy pc with wifi6 router (acces point), etc. The only sim that runs atrocius via VD is my fav sim, AMS2. Graphics setting doesn't matter the fps is very low, latency is extremly high. I set my Quest 3 to 72hz for I'm not sensitive to lower framerate if it is stable. But my rtx 4090 suffers with AMS2 which is really strange. LMU, Dirt Rally 2 run great. And even the half baked AC Evo is playable pretty well. I have no clue what causes this problem...

I do not get it, can you post your AMS2 and VD settings ? AMS2 performance was terrible for me until i started using VD, now it is silky smooth and flaweless, just with a 3060 Ti.

I tried every codec, graphics setting and streaming setting combination but in vain. So I don't know what to post from them. The other games (sims) work with every combination. Better or worse but they have a good latency and fps so they are playable.

Maybe it would be more useful if you would be so kind to post yours since the game works with them. :)

What is strange that render resolution goes up to 128% while in every other game it is just 85%. I also tried to start the game with the lowest graphics setting but it didn't matter...
And the networking value is also very high, always in yellow status.

I have the same issue you describe since v1.6.5 (and never before without changing my setup): On some races the VD visual connection freezes. Sound and FFB keep working. Only fix: Kill the game.
It seems to happen right after the start and especially on big tracks (Nürburgring 2025, Spa) and with 30 or more AI cars. So my guess was that my 16 GB RAM are not enough in those situations. But as I said: It started with 1.6.5 so maybe the game itself got a little more demanding.

    @Zsozsa
That's a 43% difference in resolution. That's your "bug." Check which Oppencomposite, OpenXR, and VDXR settings you're using. Check your SteamVR settings, etc.

Sounds like you have your SteamVR or Oculus resolution set to something other than 100%, possibly set to Auto? Be sure it is set to 100% when using VD.

Yes, it was auto in Steam VR. Now I switched it to manual and set the resolution to 100% and now the render resolution in VD is 85% just like in the other games. But it didn't fix my problem. Networking and sometimes encoding is still very high (yellow), fps is low (around 60), latency is high (around 160). The situation is the same with the beta version of the game.

I tried to switch off UDP port but negative.

    I'm helpless... :(

Make sure you have "Encrypt Local Traffic" unchecked in VD Streamer app.

Yes, it has been unchecked since I started using VD.
