Hello! Please help me, I can't get AMS2 to display properly. I have a total of three monitors on my PC. Monitor 1 is the monitor I work on and play shooter games on. Monitor 2 is the simulator, and 3 is Discord. In F1 2025 and later, there are no problems with detection; I also have the option in the settings to specify which monitor I want to play on. Today I downloaded AMS2. Under the graphics settings, there are three display options: Fullscreen, Borderless, and Windowed. Fullscreen is full screen, Borderless should be full screen in windowed mode (which is how I run the F1 series), and Windowed mode is windowed mode with a taskbar and a small area on the side where the Windows interface is visible. I start AMS2, and the game starts on my monitor 1. Here, I select Borderless to move the image to monitor 2. To apply the settings, I have to restart the game. After restarting, it's borderless, still at the maximum resolution of WQHD (monitor 1), and I can't move the image, even though it's in full-screen windowed mode. Only when I set the playback to windowed mode in the options can I move the image from my WQHD to my SIM monitor, which has a resolution of 7680 x 2160, but at the maximum resolution of WQHD. I don't have the option to increase the resolution in the options. But if I then set it to borderless, I can set the resolution to 7680 x 2160. Only then will the game start on monitors 1 and 2 together. I also have a split screen. I also thought, well, start AMS in windowed mode, move it to the SIM monitor, quit, and restart. At least WIN remembers where the program was quit and starts it on the same monitor. Nope. It starts again on monitor 1. Even with the Win-Shift-arrow key combination, the image doesn't shift, even though the monitors are on and correctly displayed in the display settings. By the way, I can't do this even when the setting is set to 7680 x 2160 in full screen because the borderless option is grayed out.
If you only need to use the one monitor, you can select the Windows Key and P to select that monitor. AMS2 wants to start on Monitor 1. You can go into the Nvidia Control Panel (if using Nvidia) / Setup Multiple Displays option and set that monitor as Monitor 1.
When starting ams2 in borderless mode, press the windows key + shift key and arrow pointing to the left or right to move it to a different monitor, trick is that you need to press those buttons before the Automobilista 2 logo appears. Not sure if it remembers the monitor it ran on, i don't think it does.
@dryheat94 thx, it worked 2 Times and After i startet F1 2025, AMS was on the wrong Screen again. @Roy Niessink thx for answer, i read it yesterday on reddit, but it dosent work on my System. Tab the Keys before the Logo comes….nothing Happens. Sad to program something so stupid in 2025
