Is there any specific reason you want "Enable Custom Steering Range" set to "Yes"? Because the recommended is "No", so you automatically get the correct range for each car.

I want to manual adjust steering lock and rotation, i think i must have this option enabled to do so?

Even with it set to "No" you can still tweak a bit Steering Lock and Rotation on cars' setup menu, depending on their "physics". But if you want to change it more than what is allowed on setup, yes, you should enable it.

Edit: But you could end up with unrealistic values if you do it manually. In the end, it's your choice. I'm just trying to make sure you got how it works.

Thanks, i'll keep it in mind. If i encounter problems i'll disable the custom settings and give it a try.
Or perhaps, i'll give it a try out of curiosity :)

I think that wheel configurations are always very personal. There are many ways to configure it, and i find funny that i'm using my g27 for 3 years now and i'm still tweaking one thing or another from time to time. Here's what i'm using.

Plus, i have -90% ffb strenght, custom steering range set to "no" and ffb effects set to Pure + effects 3. But i'm still testing the ffb effects part...

Oh yeah, my logitech profile is in portuguese, but that's the same order for english. :D

Logitech DFGT. I just kept my settings exactly as they've been in GSC for a while. I keep the FFB well below 100% to ensure no clipping.

    TM TX panel :

    100
    100

    in Game strength:
    90-100%

It would be nice if we could monitor the ffb clipping somehow.

    hi,

i have the same wheel and quite same settings, but can you explain to me the reason of "FFB below 100% to ensure no clipping" ?? thanks

Another point : since last update, when i change the ffb to "pure 360 + effects 1" or something else, it doesn't seem to save that and when i came back in settings it always go back to "pure 360" ??

also reports that in "controller.ini" the value stay 1
even changing into the game Pure 360Hz ...why??
    .-.-.-.-.-.-.-
((FFB Skip Updates="1" // Some drivers can't handle a quick FFB update rate so use this parameter to skip the given number of updates (0=full, 1=half, 2=one-third, 3=one-quarter, etc.))
    .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
    while changing, returns 1

anyway i have AccuForce ....Please do something
    thanks

Clipping is the case where the signal for FFB being sent to the controller from the program (lets compare it to volume out of a speaker) exceeds the output capacity of the device, so like when you put too much signal through a speaker you too can do so with a wheel. Where the speaker distorts or something the wheel simply clips.

Clipping refers to when the output of the device is at 100% but the signal itself is intended to represent below 100%. 100% with a FFB device means that the motor is creating as much force as possible meaning you have no further force to community more information. You effectively end up with a flat line rather than a granular signal. So setting the correct FFB level to avoid clipping is like setting your volume knob low enough to ensure your sound is clear and not distorting.

People who run at 100% FFB tend to be like those people who listen to all their music at max volume. They hear less but swear they love the loudness.

    Thanks for explanations !

Done (I hope). Reducing this weird wheel shake from left to right, with rotation / auto adjust set to off is not good idea even with 100 axis sensitivity. Lot of testing today because FFB of my another sim work in different way so it take time to set FFB right in AMS. Now I have only problem with wheel shake while car stop, maybe if it´s possible to "turn off" some physic/FFB aspect while car stay in place or driven with very low speed (5 km/h). Maybe reducing FFB strength while car is in air or side/roof is good idea too :) or maybe the fail is only on my side...
    Thrustmaster T300 panel:
    rotation: 1080
    overal str.: 76
    detailed gain: cons. 100
    per. 100
    spr. 0
    dam. 15
auto center: by the wheel 10 (this increase shaking, but very tiny)
-dam. and cent. can help add some extra weight on wheel (but depends on car/if it needed), it also increase feel of FFB alot for me

    AMS:
    Pure 360
    rotation / auto adjust on
strength / depends on car: +81
    sensitivity of axes: 50/default
    dead zones: 0/default
-if you use button for handbrake, than set digital brake rate: 100

Think that I stay somewhere near around this numbers, because FFB feel way better than before. (Admin can delete my 2 previous messages, to keep this thread clear as possible, thanks)

No problem. Sadly AMS doesn't have a clipping detection feature which you can get in most other sims these days to help you modulate the FFB levels. I find that simply lowballing it is fine. You can probably go higher than what I use if you experiment though I think some cars will always create more overall force than others at the same level so you may need to have individual settings for some cars if you want to get as close to max.

Also Reiza please let me edit old posts! My typos are often horribly embarrassing! I'm trying to community information to people!
