Automobilista - EA v0.9.3 Released, now up to v0.9.36

Last week 2 guys in our leagues missed a race because of a Logitech driver update that made their wheel not work well. So some people are using more recent stuff from Logitech site despite having DFGT/G25/27. IMO if you don't have a G29 stay on old drivers, best thing you can do.

 

I had the old 5.1 drivers for that reason. But the new ones solve the Steam lock-up when AMS locks-up issue. Now, AMS just crashes out, but doesn't lock Steam. That's a big improvement

But more importantly, the crashing seems to relate to controllers and possibly Logitech specifically.

 

I have 5.10 and Steam does not get stuck because of AMS. It only happens if I open AMS and then open the profiler after that, as long as I open the profiler first (which is my routine anyway) it's all fine.

 

Happened to me the other day. In Windows 10 Logitech auto updated my driver with an older version for an older wheel. Have DFGT was working fine until this, so tried the new drivers which did n't recognised DFGT. Had to unistall everything an install original driver. Started up AMS today had to re-map the Logitech buttons, but other sims are okay

 

Bizarre. I use parts of my old G25, which always showed up perfectly, but then started appearing as a DFGT (in Windows Control Panel). I updated to to latest Win 10 (had Win 7 5.10 package before) Logi gaming software and wheel now shows as generic buttons. That's OK for me, since I am only using the shifter buttons, but would be pretty annoying if I was using it as my primary controller.

 

No...really...wich update are you talking about???
...after 5.10 both g25 and G27 didn't have any update...

 

Some people use logitech driver from their site, it works for a lot of Logitech stuff, they keep releasing new versions, the recent one messed up the old wheels driver part

This is the wrong one...
Ok, I have 3 different logitech devices, keyboard, mouse and g27...
For keyboard and mouse I use 8.x.x drivers...
For g27 I use 5.10 drivers...
Both the softwares works great togheter.
Tell your friends to follow this order when installing them:
- plug your wheel and install 5.10 drivers
- plug other Logitech devices and install 8.x.x drivers (don't remove your wheel)
Hope this will fix their problems.

 

I don't even get why people would need a driver for keyboard and mouse ^_^" just connect and use you won't need anything the driver will offer you IMO it's like those useless notebook extra programs, only a ton of process taking memory and time when you boot it.

 

I have a lot of leds and macro wich need them to work...lol
