I've mapped a button to reset view for VR, however when I press it my view is reset behind the drivers seat (in Super V8) or to the right of the cockpit (in Formula V10) making it impossible to drive.

I've tried resetting the view within WMR and SteamVR whilst in game, and it behaves exactly the same as the reset VR view option within AMS2.

    Anyone else having this issue?

Also, changing cameras crashes the game in VR.

    Headset - Samsung Odyssey+
Obviously running with WMR and Steam VR.

Is there a bug thread somewhere I'm missing?

My #1 recommendation is to map Seat up, down, fore, + aft to an easily reachable control (I use the d-pad on my Thrustmaster wheel). Sometimes the default position is a little out of place. Try using this to fine-tune your head position.

Thanks. It's fixed now. I managed to cycle through cameras without it crashing and that has placed me in the cockpit properly. The seat movement helped fine tune that again, so thanks for that suggestion.

Does anyone else get an offset to their view (view is rotated to the right a bit) when they use Reset View? I have to turn my head a few degrees off center in order to get the wheel aligned with my real wheel when hitting Reset View.

Have you tried assigning a button to cycle cameras and then cycling through them, the resetting the view?

I had problems last night, it would place me in the passenger seat, I reset my head level and play space in Steam VR, this never fixed it, it was not affecting other games, I reinstalled the game and will try again today:)

I've had to do this in every game I play using HP WMR.

I know this is old, but I'm having the same problem with my view in the passenger seat. Did you ever fix this?

BobS, as you see from most of the comments above, this problem is usually due to the confusion caused by having set the camera view to the passenger seat. Because the passenger cam is almost like the cockpit cam, just offset a bit, people think the problem is caused by a misaligned VR headset that needs to be reset. But that is not correct.

Instead, the solution is to cycle the camera back to helmet cam or cockpit cam.

Or do you have a different problem than what was described in the original post?
