Dear Mr @Heitor Facuri Cicoti Can you maybe help us to explain the parameters at the FFB? English is not my main language. And videos are hard to understand. I would like to know what exactly stands for. Thx in advance & Best regards.
The feedback here is really first class. But what does gain and FX mean as an example? What do they affect? I would like to know . I mean, one says FX to 0, the other says 100. Then your opinions. But what is FX? . Or Spring..?
Quoted from a post from Renato : FX now adds engine vibe (modelled from crankshaft angular rotation) and tyre scrub (as an actual frequency coming from STM) Gain is the FFB strength.
STM : SETA Tire Model this is how the tire model is called in the Madness engine from SMS. Menu spring strength is how fast your wheel returns to center while in menu Low force boost is to boost the low forces, i know what it is but maybe someone else can explain it better
What's suitable settings for T300 with 599XX rim? I have 40/80/50 at the moment (100% gain in drivers).
I've currently got mine at 60/70/100 Seems fairy decent across most cars now Also I've got 1080° in control panel and the in game config, not sure if that will make a difference
I suggest you to use 900° in control panel - it has been measured T300 has much less power (also slower reactions) above 900°. Also I don't know if 60 FFB gain doesn't cause FFB clipping - that can ruin whole experience for me.
Fanatec CSW 2.5 here. 900°. 100% force in driver. My settings are: 35-50: (depends on car) Low Force Boost: 40 FX: 70
I found what I was looking for. An official declaration on the FFB! All questions are answered here. Very interesting and insightful . Steam :: Automobilista 2 :: Automobilista 2 Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations
They could say that it is each parameter in the file ffb_custom_settings.txt and thus be able to modify it to our liking. I think he lacks a lot of information when stepping on pianos and the roughness of the asphalt. I wish I could modify this.
Just thought i'd mention it as i don't see any talk of it in this thread ,,maybe because its obvious but don't forget to turn the steering sensitivity up to 100% in the game settings when you set your FFB,,,its something i didnt initially do myself and made a world of difference on my DD so im guessing it's the same with the belt wheels etc.
