I want to move the hud back as well. It's probably not implemented yet though..

positions of HUD elements never were/are part of ini/xml's.
You'll have to wait until functionality is implementetd in UI

    <prop name="SharpeningStrength" sharpeningstrength="0.990000" />

I'm wondering if the Nvidia control panel "image sharpening" setting is better or worse than the config file? I've had good luck with it in non-VR games and it doesn't seem to hit FPS much, if at all.

Non SS can cause me some stuttering issues.

You can always try force AWS 45fps. It works actually very good in AMS 2. Stuttering happens due to the delay of AWS kicking in. I got rid of it completely when forcing AWS on. I rather have sharper image then 90fps always.

Weird. Completely absent for me and I know how annoying it is.

I guess 2.999999. I tried 3.0 and game crashed (stuck after loading track). Here explanation I found from Pc2 forum:
"Strength (0.0->3.0, default 0.0) - the strength of the sharpening, zero being off. I find a subtle amount like 0.6 to be a good starting point. Too high a value will cause shimmering effects and a generally unnatural look to the image. Note that having sharpening on at all will have a small performance cost, but the size of that hit doesn't vary with the amount of sharpening.
Clamp (0.0->1.0, default 0.045) - limits the amount of sharpening at the local pixel level (if you have a large continuity difference between the original pixel and blurred pixel it limits the amount of offset applied).
Offset (0.0->6.0, default 1.0) - the offset from the current pixel for the sampling pattern (so if it's 1 it will sample neighbouring pixels, any less and it will bias towards the central pixel, any more and it will start sampling pixels outside the normal kernel).
    "

Currently I use Strength 2.5 with SMAA Medium. I have tons of fps headroom versus when I was using SS 1.5. This should be made as a slider in VR game options IMHO, the benefit is huge.

yes, this file will be created after you run the game at least once in VR.

Incredible! I tried Strength = 2,9 and it looks gorgeous! (Oculus Rift)
Should I leave Clamp and Offset to default values (0.045 and 1.0) or should I change something there too and if yes: to which values?

For Clamp and offset I, for now, kept default values as I can't see any differences and didn't have the patience to make a screenshot comparison side by side for each settings. It's painful to have to restart the Sim each time you change a settings in game or in xml file...

It happened to me with my old gtx1060. when the reprojection kicked in it was a ****ing mess in PC2 (no issues on other games).
I updated to gtx 1080 and reprojection is GOD in PC2 and AMB2

BUUUUT it seems i'm the only one with super blurry image when i look faraway no matter how much i change the note ini file with your data guys. I'm using samsung odisey +.
Also, the VR pixel density within game does nothing. I can set it 1 or the max (restarting game) and NO CHANGE AT ALL. my nvidia control panel is on defaul (Didn't change a thing)

Definitely in PC2 i had much crispier image.
