1. Since the engine is already in place, why not include an option to randomize weather, as it is in real life? This could, for instance, use 5 weather slots – or perhaps a varying number, if it is randomized as well – and simply insert randomized weather (within certain limits; you wouldn't have, for instance, a transition from Clear straight to Storm). Of course, users would only be aware of the first slot upon entering the track. 2. If you really want to get creative with weather, there could be a weather forecast for practice and for the race itself: "xxx% probabiliy or rain". Then the game would apply the same probability to each slot. This probability could be biased towards rain/sun depending on the season and/or the country (more rain in England, less in Brazil). EDIT: On second thought, perhaps it would be easier to ask users what is the probability of rain. This number would then be applied to the weather slots. (0 = no rain, 100 = only rain, from showers to thunderstorms). Whatever the method, I believe this would make AMS2 the first sim with actual unpredictable weather. 3. I would like an option to disable the "Are you sure" questions when leaving a track or the game, or, better yet, they could be removed outright. People seldom click Exit by mistake. Furthermore, the Quit button and the confirmation dialog are appearing on opposite sides of the screen, which is annoying. 4. When pressing Escape (or, in my case, the B button on the wheel) to exit Options while driving, you should end up back on track, not in the Exit dialog. Most often, I enter options to adjust FFB or something similar and then I want to go back to the car. When I do want to leave, I go straight to the proper option. All in all, though, great work so far. I am enjoying AMS2 hugely.
to 1. there is a real weather option ( weather slots 0 ) but currently its not functional. to 2. nice to 3. This are you shure option is really good for VR drivers, becouse you don't see the buttons you push. Occassionally you push the wrong sometimes. to 4. would be a nice option too.
Agreed, but - if I understand right - even in this case the weather would be static. I would be better, in my view, to have the weather change unpredictably during the race. It would be better, then, to have a choice to disable or not this check.
