Worst cars (in terms of handling: not physics) in AMS2. Devs should look at them

I agree with @Avoletta1977. It needs a lower value. The problem is between 0 - 20 / 25 degrees of rotation left or right (at low steering angles). After that 20 - 25 degree limit, the steering seems ok. Maybe it is a setup fix

As i stated before guys can you please check your virtual steering wheel in game DOR for the v8 car? It is very important to see if smth is wrong with my set up..

Had a quick check and it seems the V8 is around 630deg and is 1:1 with my wheel.
When I set my wheel to 570, the V8 was about 460 deg virtual lock which is, if I understood you correctly, what you are getting i.e. 220-230deg.

@Haris1977 in the Logitech Profiler, do you have it set to "Apply profiles to games automatically"?

That's odd. Default is 20 here. Did you reset your set-up to default? The old ones are no longer valid.

What wheel do you use? G29? Cause if yes then this is odd. You get 450 and i get 220. Weird

PS Ticking the “Apply profiles to games automatically" or not i get the same result. 220 degrees in v8. And 540 in sc brazil

Tbh no. Havent touched the setups. I think i have the old ones. I will reset the setup and check the camaro again

The camaro issue is spotted on low steering angles (~20-25). After that the car feels ok

I use a CSW 2.5 but that is irrelevant. The point is, that because I used 570 in my wheel profile it messed up the in-game DOR.
I read in a post elsewhere to do with G27 DOR issues that stated to use "Apply persistent profile : (Your AMS2 profile name here)" instead of the automatic setting.
So, you should set it to 900 in profile, select the persistent option and then re-calibrate in game.
There's obviously an issue with the G27 profiler and potentially an issue with using anything other than a wheel's maximum rotation in-game so I'd suggest getting the wheel to work at 900 first to eliminate that problem. Then look at adjusting to your preference of 570.

    Yes you are right.
Now it's on 20 by default and it is possible to reach 14 with setup adjustment. Before it was at 14 and not possible to modify.
At 14 the car reacts better but now I can't put heat into the tires (after four laps the are still blueish).

Don't overlook the sightly confusing calibration instructions in the game. A good indication of the correct and calibration DOR can be seen at the end of the calibration process.

I reset the setup and now feels better. Thanks:) Not perfect, but better. The same goes for sc Brazil (i have still the pandulum effect though)

But my main problems are the cars that the steering lock option remain greyish (aka the v8's and the karts) making them undrivable for me (too snappy). I assume that in the next update (s) this option will be enabled (?).

Maybe a good alternative will be a per-car wheel setup (in terms of sensitivity and ffb).

I will try the 900 degree profile too (@Gordie thanks for the "Apply persistent profile" tip) and report back.

    Until then i will wait

Just to let you know, i created a new 900 dor profile, selected the persistent option (and of course removed my old AMS2 documents folder), fired the game and calibrated the wheel. Still same results. Karts and v8's (the cars that have a default steering lock in setup) are undriveable. So i guess there is a conflict over here.

Did it allow you to calibrate it to 900 degrees in-game?

Did it match the virtual DOR?

    Yes. 99% and 900 dor

But the virtual v8 dor (this is my test car at the moment) is still 220-230 degrees. I give up

I hate how thinking about going on the throttle in the Stock Car makes the rear end snap, seems way to sensitive in my opinion.

We need the ability to adjust steering lock not DOR as some cars appear to be too twitchy and this would help! We could do this in AMS1

Agreed but if your DOR isn't correct and doesn't match the game to begin with then you're pissing against the wind, even with steering lock adjustability.

Even if it correctly represents what the real car has?
