It's too easy to accidentally quit the game or a race

Getting a lot of weird freezes in menus, and when I press the exit button I invariably end up quitting active races. Please make the exit/back putton unpause, and create a more explicit option to exit the game.

 

Having the exit race button in the same place as the back button when you enter setup is really confusing and it’s easy to accidentally hit it.

 

Yup that's the thing, accidentally left a session a couple of times too.

 

A dedicated exit option gets my vote. Practically every other game (never mind sim) I play, pressing ESC pauses and brings up the menu, pressing it again gets me back into the action. Very strange that Reiza decided to go against the norm on this.

 

I guess all that is more or less placeholder and subject to change. Sometimes you have the Exit at very top left and the displayed confirmation menu appear very top right, not really ergonomic

 

This is a hangover from the madness engine and bits of the code that are tailored for console users.

 

Well, I don't know about that. Pressing Start on a controller usually pauses and unpauses too, rather than pausing and exiting. Seems more like a weird design decision by whoever wrote the Madness engine.

 

Not sure it is. Pressing ESC in PC2 during a race brings up the menu. Pressing it again returns you to the action,just as Goffik expects it to do.

 

I've had accidental session exits as well, and also find it a bit strange that hitting the Escape button a few times doesn't put you right back into the action. I too wouldn't mind seeing this change implemented.

 

PC2 had the same issues to begin with.

 

I keep doing it too. I thought it was the beer!
