Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

Track & Layout Used: Jerez no chicane (probably all tracks)

Report: No tires scrubs sound during replay
Steps to reproduce: Replay with any camera view including cockpit and Chase

I wanted to post a video to show how fun is to use the F Trainer Advanced at Jerez (no chicane) as it's a very intensive drifting festival, very rewarding, but without tires sound it loose all the fun

both in single tests and in qualifying tests if you have an accident, for example you lose a wheel, go to the pits or restart the session, the wheel lost in the accident is not restored.
in the hud, even if you choose FULL to view the telemetry, you don't see anything, only Minimal works, Wheels - Petrol - Speed
during a normal gear, during a replay, the wheels do not completely touch the asphalt.
always in the replay the front wheels have positive, horrendous camber.

sia nei test singoli che in prove qualifica se si ha un incidente, esempio si perde una ruota, si va ai box o si riavvia la sessione, la ruota persa nell'incidente non viene ripristinata.
nello hud, anche scegliendo FULL per visualizzare la telemetria non si vede nulla, funziona soltanto Minimal, Ruote - Benzina - Velocità
durante una marcia normale, durante un replay, le ruote non toccano completamente l'asfalto.
sempre nel replay le ruote anteriori hanno camber positivo, orrendo.

Report: Mirrors look too much to the side in VR, can't see the car behind me if he is right behind me. Would be great to have an option to change the mirror angles.

Issue: Wheel type is set to fanatec in the game. The wheel is calibrated to full range in the game. I also tried in with the wheel type set to custom but get the same result. This is most noticeable in the F1 cars with their smaller DOR lock to lock. I end up having to cross my hands, for example. If I turn the physical wheel 180 I only get 90. In the Caterhams OTOH the in game wheel shows more rotation.

Resolved by: Setting wheel sensor to AUT (auto) on wheel setting menu.

 

This still remains in 0.8.0.4

This is a big problem for the "Liveview" tool (look at my signature) I'm working on, because I cannot clearly identify the track with the name duplicates in Shared Memory.
Please fix, these should be simple typos. Thanks.

Applicable settings: Radeon driver 20.4.2; Vega 56; Ryzen 3 1200; X470.
Report: Was driving in a test day, and going past the pits (after only a few laps) the screen went black, but the sound continued, though didn't seem to correspond to the pedal inputs. I eventually heard a crashing sound and tried to escape out but couldn't. Killed AMS2 from Close Window in the task bar. The Radeon software seemed not to be running afterwards, and when run manually appeared in the system tray but was non-responsive. The game worked okay, but didn't crash after four or so laps.
Steps to reproduce: So far unable to.

Report: Brakes failure after 3,5 laps with a clean drive and brakes not fully pressed or blockings. (Damages full ON in Settings)

Resolved by: Setting wheel sensor to AUT (auto) on wheel setting menu.

Report: The right rear tyre has the label "TYRE COMPOUND" for its pressure.
Steps to reproduce: Go to the Edit Setup, Advanced Setup and Tyres/Brakes/Chassis and look at the right rear settings to see the mistake.

Report: Soft Lock is too weak and therefore ineffective. Can easily exceed steering lock in any car.

Report: I use a dynamic workstation and it seems that vertical forces are distributed in almost all forces (long, lateral, acceleration, ect), while normally the data must be managed only and exclusively by a single force. In other games if I reset the vertical forces I have no data from telemetry, while with AMS2 if I reset the vertical forces I continue to have vertical force data, in addition there is no force gear effect.

Work fine for me. did you remove the "Gaze" option in the VR menu setting?

 

After updating the game continues to crash after about 5/10 minutes of play It freezes the screen and then exits to the desktop

Report: Selecting Jerez or Snetterton under track selection breaks the track logo displayed. It get stuck on that tracks logo regardless of next selection.
Steps to reproduce: select Jerez then select another track and it still displays the Jerez logo. Select Snetterton and then another track and it still displays Snetterton logo. Selecting azure circuit seems to reset it back to the Reiza logo.

Report: Countless times, the left rear wheel is braked, unlocking only if the driver is accelerating insistently and the car moves a few meters.
Steps to reproduce: When trying to get out of the box, with the F Trainer.

Report: Often, when trying to reduce from 3rd to 2nd gear, it doesn’t engage, even if you do it very slowly, and even if the change appears in the cockpit, it doesn’t happen in the HUD either
Steps to reproduce: It can be on the Tarumã track or any other, using manual gearbox H, Fanatec.

 

Trainer is a sequential, not H-pattern. It sure seems like you have a problem with your shift controller or clutch. These are not bugs that affect everyone.
