is there a way to analyze telemetry data after a session like doing with motec in rf2? in particular i would like to analyze the tire temperatures (inner, middle and outer) in each corner. doing it while driving looking at the hud in corners is not very comfortable and easy :(

One thing I remember being an issue with PCars2 telemetry data at some point was that you couldn't get the 3 different temperatures across the tyre, they were all the same. Do you know if this ever got fixed or if it is still a problem in AMS2?

I'm not sure. It's not an area I spend a lot of focus in with racing sims these days unfortunately.

BTW, the makers of that RST app are posting in that (their own) thread. I would recommend those curious about what is or isn't available to bug them. They likely will have good information and seemed responsive to others asking questions.

It's the telemetry external to the game that was the problem. Tyre temps work in PCars2 properly too. This thread gives a bit more info:

If it is still a problem in AMS2 currently I'm sure it'll be one of the things they fix.

Yes, tire temps seemed ok in RST to me.

Do you get Inside / Middle / Outside temps for each tyre? And are they different or all the same for a particular tyre?

Kind of, I've been using Motec with another game so I got myself a little confused.

It shows the temp gradient and pressure temp for each tire which you can use to fine tune camber and pressure. It's all explained in the manual.

If you just want temperatures use the Alt HUD view in game, mapped to left POV switch by default.

I dont think you can have any data after the session at the moment, may come later?.
Current viewing while driving is awkward but the only way in game as far as I have found.
Temps across width will display as 3 bands of colour.
(unless same temp across full width as in start of session)
    Hope this helps.
The small tyre temp displayed on screen in lower right currently shows green at start of session despite cold tyres as seen in telemetry when selected.
Prior builds from blue to green, this build they seem to be misleadingly pointless leading to many offtrack moments in the belief the tyres are warm when if fact there cold!

I've checked with a couple of telemetry apps and the I/M/O tyre surface temp data is still not being sent over the pcars2 protocol. This may be fixed in the future but for the moment the only way to see it is in real time using the telemetry hud.

    Just a thought.
Just installed crewchief. In PC2 it does not work, but I have just read I need to switch shared memory setting to pc1 not pc2 may help with sending over data.

    Extract from site.
In the Project Cars Setting i can change the Shared Memory Setting between off/Project Cars 1/Project Cars 2. When i set it to Project Cars 1 CrewChief works great but my SimCommander Motion won't work [IMG]
When i set it to Project Cars 2...Motion works but no CrewChief [IMG]
So...i'll wait [IMG] No Problem...hopefully it will work together in the Future. Such a great Tool.. [IMG]

I check my tire temps at the end of each run before I go back to the pits, bring up the Alt HUD as I slow down, check the temps then hit Esc. It's not rocket science. I would expect Reiza to make this available in the pits before Full release.

Also while RST doesn't show the actual temperature is does show the Gradient from Inner to Outer and gives the Temp/pressure value ie whether the tire requires more or less pressure to even out the Center temp. And it's viewable post session.
