Thread opened up from previous conversation. Just curious To Know peoples thoughts. Personally I prefer the challenge of high power like ie Caterham 620 @ around 568hp per tonne (this sim and others of course) or Porsche 917 from 1970 possessing a power-to-weight ratio of about 750bhp per tonne. Plus many other cars. Gt40,LM Ferrari,Lotus 49, Lotus ford pc2-------------etc. Tricky but rewarding to get right. No driving aids, just your 2 feet!. These for me get adrenalin going and smiles when (I dont crash ) I get it right on fast track that suit. Cars with low power to weight also a challenge, carrying speed through turns, etc ? What cars in AMS2 in particular give you the best adrenal rush and enjoyment. (Or other sims)
In PC2 I love the Merc 190 Cossie. Normally aspirated, RWD, high revving four cylinder, six speed box, and despite what many may think, the physics/handling are superb. Can just make it do what you want. Not the most crazy regards power to weight ratio, but it screams, winds up through the gears and just gives me a massive buzz. In AMS2, so far I'm enjoying the Superlight, would really like to enjoy the 620R but I'm just finding there's too much understeer. Otherwise I'd get that same buzz from it I think.
For me that's the F Trainer Adv, low power without aero and TC. This car gives me the best rewarding to drive on the limit.
Mmm i will have to go back and try it!. 620r Cat gets better with each build. Current beta 9 is a blast, kept me busy today! blip on the throttle to counter the understeer works for me (not a big 1 though)
