To be honest, I don't think I have. :) I don't tend to bother because FFB is soooo subjective and I don't want to deal with the people that reply with "That's crap! How can you possible use those settings! Mine are better!". :p

But just for you, I use 70-85/25/50 with a slightly tweaked New Default FFB profile. The 70-85 depends on the car because it varies so much right now, and sometimes I will also raise FX to 60 if I can't feel the scrub vibration in a particular car.

Agreed, guys. It may be close-ish after tuning the three sliders, but for me OLD DEFAULT is the winner. I did as @Goffik suggested and thanks to @NuScorpii saved that FFB file to use as CUSTOM, in the event Reiza reaches v.1.0 and we all still feel the same about OLD vs NEW.

Definitely try others settings but id still recommend going through the process. This is what ive done.

Set gain to max or overal FFB sttength that feels good im combination with your wheelbase settings.

put FX to 0 and try LFB at 10 for example then at 80, see what you like, decrease, increase, etc. For me this was comparing various forces in the rim at center and steer/slide position. Going over ondulations and bumps, slowly turning the wheel and making sure the forces are fairly even, with too high FFB for example I had super strong center (this is on DD1) and when i gently turned the wheel esp. at low speed, it would reduce. Mines now at 30-33.

Find a good spot and to the same for FX, too high FX for me meant a ton of ffb noise, so i settled at 26-30.

It's really appreciated. thanks a lot.

But i will give a try at new default with sliders recommendations from here : 85 / 35 (LFB sweetspot)/ 50 with little tweak for minimum force adjusted at 0.03 instead of 0.01.

    Thanks for your shares

I upgraded from a Logitech G27 to a CSL Elite a few years back and yeah, I was blown away at the difference in the wheels - not that I didn't love my G27, because I certainly did love it (and still wish I had it around). I can only image the difference in a DD wheel! I just had some really bad luck with Fanatec wheelbases. Fanatec has fantastic support though, sending replacement parts and swapping my wheel bases out multiple times at no charge for me. I had yet another issue with my repaired wheelbase out of warranty last year and I was able to get a T300 RS GT for $250 USD with a 3yr full replacement warranty, so yeah, I took that option this time around. I really like my T300, but I do miss my CSL Elite for sure.

Has anyone felt that their FFB changed after the patch? I know there is nothing in the notes about FFB changes, but something feels very different on my end.

Before patching, I did a complete reinstall and removed the My Docs folder in order to start everything from scratch. I set everything back up the way it was, dropped my custom FFB file in place, and started it up. I immediately noticed that my FFB felt weak and pretty lifeless using my custom profile. I switched to New Default which my custom profile is based on, and that felt lifeless too. Only Old Default had any real life to it at all! Overall the FFB feels crap now. o_O

This was absolutely not the case mere hours ago when I was playing before the patch. What on Earth has happened? Stealthy FFB changes in the patch or some kind of issue on my end?!

It does seem there is something going on. I tested Ultima on Brands which is where I setup my ffb initially so i have a pretty clear memory of the relief. There were 2 or 3 bumps on the track that sent a jolt through my DD1 every time. Now its not there anymore and it feels like its all just... smoother. I still feel details, wouldnt say its lifeless, but it does feel different slightly.

After the latest update I have gone back to the Old Default and the FFB is so much more lively (again). I wasn't convinced with the New Default last time round & not sure if anything has changed in the latest update but much prefer the old version.

I haven't dove into the FBB settings yet, but default on a G25 seems pretty non-existent. I was hoping for more of a NFS Shift responsiveness to the FFB.

After some more and more driving ... I feel like they actually may have got rid of some of the "spiky" behaviour on DD wheels. I dont notice anything missing, new default still feels awesome. But i dont get some of the road noise/jolts anymore. Which may actually be a good thing in the end, not sure if FFB or physics or road texture was smoothed out, or if its just a placebo.

@Shadak if it is placebo I too have taken the same medication. My accuforce wheel feels lighter and smoother. Just needed to make a few tuning adjustments to my wheel profile settings to have again the best FFB feeling of any sim I have tried to date. I can change from a V8 supercar, sprintcar to formula trainer to caterham all using the same profile settings both ingame settings and wheel profile settings. I have still not got used to the -ve FFB feel with V8 supercars when the front tyres are at or over the limit in high speed turns. There is something just not right about that I feel.

@Goffik @Shadak @Wayne Whitmore Same here. I noticed that Old Default also doesn't feel quite the same. On Brands Hatch GP as you come out of Surtees and up the rise, there is a ridge that runs along the centre of the track that used to affect the steering quite noticeably. There is no feeling at all there now, and in general just feels a bit softer, more dampened. I noticed this without doing any clean out so tried starting again by renaming the documents folder and still feels the same.

yep thats exactly the ridge I meant, and I think there is one more around westfields and one small spot after stirlings. All of these are much less severe now.

I wonder if it is due to part of the modifications they did to this track for 0.9.1:
"Brands Hatch. Fixed bug with cars appearing to float over the track; adjusted rolling start location; revised track limits; fixed garage door collision"
Or if it is a wider change that affects all tracks.

That's what an adjustment to FX does.

So they changed something about the FX in the patch but didn't note it down? I ask because I changed none of the settings on my end, and yet feelings like those described are gone. Raising FX does not make them return.

FX is for adding forces that do not come through the steering rack. e.g. engine vibrations and tyre scrub etc. The ridges we are talking about at Brands are physical ridges that have an effect on the suspension and therefore steering rack and should be present no matter what LFB and FX are set to. This is how it was prior to this release, and changing LFB and FX to any value have no effect on how the ridges are felt (or not).

Are you saying there is a change to one part of Brands Hatch only, or that FFB feels different in 0.9 (as seemed to be the conversation just above)?
