    Can someone name them?
I was changing more than one setting, just a couple of clicks (bad I know ;) and frame rate went up over 30+ frames.
Coming from the AC side, sorta blind on the Madness engine

    Thank you.

I don't think there is one. I use the nVidia one. Not sure if the Steam one works.

I always use fraps... habbit. Forgot Nvidia has one :D It has to be more accurate than a program that just measures frames.

Had to add. Post AA is a system killer for me, %99 of settings in high/ultra, butter smooth 22+ cars.

Turn on Post AA / fxaa etc? Stutter fest. Never seen a title do that to that degree.

Have to agree. Right now AA is extremely taxing on FPS, no matter what AA option you choose (i run VR). I hope this is a bux or a optimization issue they can address...

MSAA and super-sampling above 1.0(in VR) are the biggest FPS killers for me. I run low MSAA and trilinear filtering. There are too many jaggies with no AA, and the other options also look terrible.

No you're probably right. It's definitely reflections related.

Environment mapping is a way of faking reflections without looking odd.
An environment map is just a simple image which is added in a channel of a material (shader) this material is projected on a object. It looks like you see the surrounding of the scene in the reflection of a car paint for example.
This is much much much CPU/GPU friendlier than real reflections calculated by the game engine. it is used to fake all kind of reflections. Eg in puddles, Windows, car paint etc.

    what is and does MSAA?
I reduced it to low (from medium) setting and had a big jump in fps with 30 cars. AA is on 4x
Never had such smooth racing before and the car brakes are hotter than my PC now:)

    strange thing:
in dry / clear condition - fps is super
in rain / thunderstorm with ultra reflexion, particels, and so on - fps is super
in night clear or wet - fps is super

but when overcast, fps is very poor and with light stutter
    what's wrong?
Does anybody has the same how to fix it?

Indeed with overcast the FPS drops. In AMS2 but also in Pcars,
