And aggression? There are two settings that now apparently work! The AI seemed very well-behaved in your video, so depending on what Aggression level you used, trying the same race again with the same 100% strength, but "high" aggression would be very interesting.

That is "well behaved" or relatively calm territory :) If you can, it would be great to do a part 2 at 75% or 80% aggression and see the difference. You know that car and track well, so you will be best to identify what, if any, significant differences result.

I am glad you took me up on my suggestion. Now that you have experienced the two data points, what do you recommend as the best Aggression % for you going forward (or what will you try next)?

Well my next videos are all with higher Agressive, so 80% maybe is enough for me :D.
At this state the AI reminds me on RRE. They have a very good AI too. Keep it up Reiza and dont forget this is just BETA! This is really impressive.
If it goes on like this it will be my main Sim.

Ah and a subscribe and like would be fine to support me ;):D.

I was using 75% as a default, so I think somewhere in that range will be good for most experienced sim racers. I'll be happy to like and subscribe--thanks for making these videos.

Wow, your "team mate" was really giving you a hard time for the last part of the race, but what a finish! (I won't spoil it).

I like your videos because one of my favourite things in AMS (1) was to start at the back of a 100% AI field and carve my way through them. As skill increases, see how few laps it takes.

The alternative, that would be better for AI testing in AMS 2, is to increase the AI strength % until you can just barely beat them or maybe it becomes a question of a bit of luck or just the right move that determines the outcome (just like real racing). You seem to be so comfortable in the MCR S2000 that I think you should try 101% (or more) and maybe also do a proper Q if you use a higher %.

The AI seems to be working very well with this series, though! And you picked Cadwell, which in one of the trickiest tracks to pass since it is so narrow.

One last question--do you have damage on or off or what setting? On Full will add a whole other level of challenge :) Cadwell may be too much for that setting, though, unless there is minimal ramming up the rear end because the AI are too slow or vice versa with them hitting you.

@Marc Collins I used to do the "last-to-first" challenge with the AMS 1 AI over a 10-lap race. It was fun to overtake lots of cars and challenge myself.

For a while now, I've taken a different approach and raised the AI level to a point where I have to drive flat-out to gain one or two positions in a race. Driving at ten-tenths reveals the physics and characteristics of the car I'm driving, and it also gives the AI room to breathe, improving their behaviour and making them more realistic.

I've seen many videos where complaints about the AI might have been avoided if the closing speeds had not been unrealistically high.

AMS 2 is still a work in progress, and will remain so for some time, but I hope to enjoy the same experience with its AI when things settle down.
