Man I've only got time for a few laps tonight and will be out of town for the rest of the week. I'm going to dig into this over the weekend once I get back. Thanks @NuScorpii for yet again another incredible addition to this sim!

Can the custom FFB be changed in-game or do you have to restart? I forgot as it has been a while since I messed around with it.

It certainly makes it easier for people to make their own tweaks and save different versions to compare. However, I'll still make some updates to the custom ffb files if I find some functional improvements to make :)

The game needs to be restarted to pick up the changes unfortunately.

Great tool! One little thing: could you do it that it remembers the 'show all' option?

It's certainly possible. My rational behind not doing it this way initially was that the custom ffb files should use the tags to define which variables should be visible. I might see if I can have it remember the setting on a per profile basis.

I could add another column that displays the comment if any after the variable. Would need support from the ffb file though.

@NuScorpii, when the V1.0 comes out will you release a new file here or in the old thread open by Karsten?

This thread is just for the tool. Any updates to my FFB file itself will be on the custom ffb thread.

The Madness Tool has been updated with added support for controller profiles. This will be useful if you have different rims and want to use a different set of button mappings for each rim.

Also now remembers the Show All check box setting per ffb profile.

Do you have the current version of the Madness Tool?
Because in an older version there was a problem, that the tool changes the values with decimal points, for example min_force from 0.01 to 1

    V 1.1, downloaded yesterday

edit: compared custom file after applying through madness tool vs download custom file and indeed the decimal points are messed up. Going to download Madness tool again and see.

Yep that worked. Thanks, I think I forgot to delete the MadnessTool folder yesterday and only replaced the exe file.

Glad you have got that sorted. I think you would have just needed to delete the affected ffb profiles from within the tool and imported them again. Problem being that it saves the modified version of the ffb in the MadnessTool folder. Deleting the folder and starting again will fix it but you'll lose anything else you've setup too.

Thanks for the App it's great, handy to edit the changes. (Although I do wish there was a simpler way to change Custom Profiles within the game)

Thanks for the great app.... I really like the way it allows FFB changes and the controller profile works fairly well for me also (better than my previously kludge procedure). Too bad Reiza did not use a straight up text file also for the controller settings, would have made things easier for multiple profile changes/editing too. Thanks again for your time and trouble :):):)
