Hi, just a follow up to a post I made on this in another thread, so I thought of just making one exclusively, as I think it's unusual/uncommong, but someone may have a good idea. AMS keeps crashing (Windows 10 event logs seem to point to dinput8.dll) when I start driving on track. Initially tried disabling/deleting Dynhud and it worked for a while, w/c is why I asked for alternative track map apps should I disable Dynhud. But now it no longer works even w/o Dynhud. Tried GID too but same issue, w/ or w/o GID. Anyone have an idea how to address this? Verified files so many times already. Run out of ideas, short of reinstalling Win 10 and all my apps. All other sims (AC/rF2/SCE)/games work fine. Help pls, TIA.
As usual, more info is needed, how many cars, session type, system spec. Also try logging (described below) and post trace file here.
Thanks, no, just opened now so I'll check it out. I'll uninstall GB OC Guru and MSI Afterburner, even if I don't use it. I only used the latter for FPS, because first time I tried Ctrl-F w/o Dynhud, FPS meter didn't appear. Even on Test only (not any race), so obviously 1 car (Spa or Interlagos, w/ the Boxer, Cart, or FExtreme. What other system specs do you need? Sorry, which particular log (described below?)?
Thanks for the assistance! MSI appears to be the culprit, as AMS's working fine now after a couple of test runs. Weird it was working fine before. So I'll suspend sending details of a bug report unless a quirk happens again. Cheers!
Sometimes a good read at the beginning of a new sim is not .... time loss In fact, I'm just translating the english User's Guide for my french league drivers. Not finished yet ( even though it'll be not fully translated for every topic, but the most important ones ) Anyway, this part of it was already translated and the answer was very easy to find.
