In the first versions of the game, the car F-Classic Gen3 M2 has a windshield. It's been gone for months.
Why it was removed? In the Showroom I can still see it.

And why the Gen3 class have mph in the cockpit and not kph? All other Formula cars have kph.

...and the rpm bar is still covered by steering wheel. How to know when to shift? Either the bar should be seenable completely or a shifting light is needed (the same with V10 G1).
At the trucks engine temp is in °F and not °C. I hope that anytime there will be the option to set the unit individual (bar/psi, °C/°F, kph/mph...).

i think the display is technical correct. Back in the days the cars were so small, the drivers couldn't see more. Also you must set your cockpit camera similar to that of the real pilots view. They were sitting really deep. ;)
Later then tey mounted all instruments in the wheels. There was a reason for that, not just to get a cool look :p

Hm, you're right, if moving the position downwards it's better but I don't know if this is the right way. Because then it's hard to see what's in front, cockpit takes visibility.
I think N. Mansells position was a little bit different (like the default view in the G3M2), cockpit shouldn't take the view (see yellow straight painting, marking the view of his eyes straight away). And I'm sure he had seen the rpm bar.
