    I thought that meant no video posting? Not that it cannot be mentioned.

    edit: it clearly states ":the builds will be available on the on the notformedia branch of AMS2 Beta, which means beta users should NOT use it for posting screenshots, videos or streaming outside of Reiza 51"

    says nothing about telling people what they might expect as far as fixes go

    There is some great discussion in here, but for a new guy to get started - where do I find a basic guide? I'm running DD2 and it looks like the first message in this topics has not been updated.

    Would some kind member show me their settings for a similar system, DD1 or DD2?

    I have a DD1, and use these settings from Fanatec:
    FanaLab - Share your favorite profiles - Page 10
    It's Fanalab profiles for different cars, combined with a custom FFB-file based on NuScorpii v2.5.
    Only covers the GT3 and GT4 cars, but it is a nice starting point.

    That is great, thanks! It will get me on the right tracks and I can adjust as needed.

    After the V1.1 update I deleted my Documents/Automobilista folder and noticed that now the FFB was a lot weaker than before. I looked in the old settings and the difference was that Gain used to be 100, now is 75, and Dampening used to be 50, now is 0.

    So if anyone notices their FFB is much weaker, put the gain back to 100 and Dampening back to 50 and it will feel like before.

    I especially like the dampening being around 50, gives the wheel a good heavy feel to it. Especially using a G29, it needs all the extra help it can get :)

    Hi all, I thought there were some recommended FFB in game settings for fanatec DD1 / DD2 but I can't seem to find them, does anyone have a link for these?
    Cheers

    Great, thanks for that, did not see that thread when I searched. This will teach me for not checking my setting's before I deleted the AMS2 folder!

    It makes it feel like going from a toy wheel to a real car lol. Reiza should really set the defaults back to Gain 100, Dampening 50 ;)

    Of course maybe on higher powered wheels this is too much? I'm not sure, but on a G29 it is a perfect setting.

    @ControlLogix - I tried the 100 gain and 50 dampening tonight and was really impressed on my T300. Totally agree that it brings the heavier side in to the steering which I must agree feels much, much better.

    Great observation!

    Are the GAIN in the car setup menu and general options menu just multiplier of each other?

    Say that setting gain in the options 100/100 and 50/100 in the car;
    and then setting gain in the options 50/100 and 100/100 in the car setup
    has totally same effect?

    Yes, that would produce the same result. The “per-car” option works as a percentage of your global setting. I have my overall gain set to 50, then can adjust up or down per car from there. Depends on your wheel though of course.

    Here is a recommendation;
    Put karsten’s ffb files (version .36 or higher) as default ffb and then, by chosen wheel in the options; apply corresponding file.
    It is really helpful to feel the car under your seat and interact ASAP with your inputs.

    Since there are so many experts here, I will ask for some partly off-topic advice.

    I installed the new v400 driver from Fanatec that has a more automated way to update firmware in it. My driver and wheel firmware are now at the latest setting. I have updated this wheel's firmware at least 10 times over the years with zero issues.

    This time, a strange problem has occurred that may only affect AMS 2. AMS 2 now thinks my wheel has 1080 degrees of rotation instead of the 900 that it actually has.

    I recalibrated my wheel in AMS 2 after updating and when I hold my wheel at 90 degrees for the second step of the calibration, it clearly reads 1080. When I go into the game, my wheel and the on-screen wheel are now out-of-sync.

    I exited and when back to the Fanatec control panel to ensure the new firmware hadn't somehow gifted me with new hardware capabilities. Sadly, it still only goes up to 900 degrees, and all settings were correct.

    Go back into AMS 2 and try again. Same thing. 1080. So, I recalibrate a third time and try to trick it by moving my wheel until it says 900 in the second phase. Unfortunately, my wheel is still out-of-sync when I do that. The steering is noticeably slower on-track and regardless is wrong, so it needs to be fixed.

    Went back to AMS to see if it would be affected. Nope, everything is as it was there at 900 degrees and auto-rotation working for all cars with proper sync between screen and real wheel.

    Any ideas what on earth is going on here? Do I need to test other sims, or is this likely a Madness piece of madness?
