Same here, very similar feel to before. Just very light. Had to up the gain even more. @Karsten Hvidberg , will this lack of gain be looked at in v53? When do you think it will be up? Thanks.

I loaded up an old .49 file and it worked, so I must have done something wrong to the latest .52 that I edited, LOL

There is no feeling of pulling towards kerbs as in rfactor2. I tried all the files. By default, it pulls from unevenness, which is strange.

V53 feels strong enough, but I will give it a notch more 8) Hopefully posting later, depends on @Panos Schoino and @Shadak and one final iteration I think.

Better a bit later and right, than to put it up with things in it you know just aren't quite right, eh?

Did some work with the .52 file, and plotted out some trends for a variety of cars. I found .52 to be very balanced, and I can feel everything without the levels having to be too strong. Each car type will benefit from finding the exact detail it needs, even though it's extra work, it's worth the effort. Nice work everyone!

Would you mind sharing your file? Also have a Logitech and would like to try it out!

I just tried using half values to allow for stronger wheel, and used the low file for first time ( with tightening values adjusted to suit my wheel) and it felt really good with Gt3.
I haven’t run tightening for along time, but it might be something I do again, as switching to factory mid file didn’t feel as good details.

I’ve also switched to running my tm system settings at default instead of spring and damper off. And I feel like it’s better and more consistent on either custom or default.

From .52 version, I'm not using the tightening and falloff anymore. My balance_scale is currently at 0.021

I did try Peters file, and while it felt like a great tune, offering many positive steps. It wasn’t easy to dial in without changing for each different car.
It also was quite full enough around centre with lower strength settings and adding tightening made it too tight, so would need to find my own middle ground there.
this is to be expected when it’s set on a different wheel.

ultimately using low file, with tightening of 0.11 0.02 gives me a very good centre feel and minimal tuning across different cars.

Same here ... I was amazed at how Peter's settings behave ... having the same steering wheel and testing the cars (for example the cars shown in his graph), I can hear the beautiful tuning and melody ... but it is a job to do car by car, which, although beautiful and interesting, forces you to vary the values and to redo the process every modification of both the ffb and the physical update of the car. You have to raise your hat for the level of attention that Peter puts in his tests ... ;)

Unfortunately I am a bit lazy :(, also because I still dream at night this mechanism repeated and reiterated with PC2 and the JackSpade files (where I had to rewrite all the auto settings for cars and update for updating) .... so I also prefer more immediate approach ... where I establish the main variables involved with median values and leave only one variable to be adjusted car by car (i.e. the GAIN that can be modeled even while playing with the per-car ffb) .... then:
    - septum my tightening (0.10 - 0.05)
    - I set LFB and Gain to 50 and FX to taste (usually 65-70)
    - Adapt Karsten's file if needed and to homogenize the peaks and distortions of the two median values of 50

and then go to play .... I change the GAIN on the fly while playing, having mapped two buttons of the botton box to increase and / or decrease the GAIN and save in the setting car ... it is also more immediate to make a comparison between one version and another of a new Karsten file ... ;) ... and without going to the psychologist!!! :p

    If you do the detailed FFB per car and then sort them into one particular class, then average your values within that class, you can probably get away with a common setting per class. For example GT3 from the graph above would be roughly;
    Gain: 46
    LFB: 45
    FX: 61
Probably doesn't hold true for every class, but if you're looking to save time, it's probably good enough.
P.S. Until they do another update, LOL

We are testing a file that should make almost all cars realatively balanced in terms of ingame sliders and ffb multipliers. Hope it will be possible to post soon, so far it feels excellent.

Interesting observation, I just upgraded my TM RSGT base wheel to a leather Gt wheel, it feels half the weight and is more solid with less flex as well as just being nicer feel and lay out, the effects on Ffb are noticeable, it’s given better detail, and I’ve had to bump my self alignment back to Karsten standard 0.22 and added some velocity scale to get the weight right.

Very right observation ... regardless, I specify that I did not criticize your work but my person and my laziness, the final joke is referred to me ... indeed I tell you dear Peter that I often take a cue from you and Kuku as if I were a student who copies the answers and results, on the day of the exams, to pass the test with Professor Karsten ... :D

This balance would be a great feature ... even if only limited to the LFB cursor ... we are waiting and curiosity ... take your time and good job!!! ;)
