Just wondering if anyone is having sound issues since the big update this month with the Formula V10 Gen2

For me it started with the new GTE cars were the rev limiter sound was strange. Now its also happening with the V10 gen 2 car

    You are not alone.
I have stopped using AMS2 because of the awfull limiter sound poo in F-Reiza after latest socalled update.
Its impossible to get rid of because this sound is included in the Master Volume.

ByTheWay: Reiza is so proud of this ridicolous sound poo that they in the latest small patch have included it in even more cars. Congrats :D

Oh fook, that's not good, the sound us nothing like the sound of a rev limiter. There was nothing wrong before so why spoil it

I have tried in another thread to describe why I think this completely mistaken sound implementation is a game destroyer in AMS2.
Because in as example Raceroom where I am now forced to get my sim injection the limiter sound in some cars is just as loud as in AMS2.
But the single sound cues is not annoying in Raceroom ;)

To the contrary then the sound system or Reizas implementation of it in AMS2 is too simplyfied - and because of that the different sound cues (like this limiter sound) is not positioned in a kind of 3D sound space but scream on top of each other.
    So to speak.
Without any possibility to turn them down individually.

I don't think for me it's anything game breaking but I do agree that it isn't right yet, there needs imo more variety to the sound, cars on the limiter really splutter and sound like they are struggling to stay fired up. In AMS 2 it's just to clean and neat sounding.
I'm sure in early builds the SuperV8 had a nice limiter sound, I wonder what happened to that one?

    UPDATE:
Now sorted, cheers guys, I deleted the AMS2 folder in Documents and allowed the game to create a new one.

However I agree with you the new REV limiter sound is pants and nowt like what a car would sound like
