I run FX at 30 or more with SC1 but, also use a fair amount of filtering and damping. For the FX to be felt, I may set FX higher than most using DD. but, I can clearly detect front-wheel lock-up when it occurs.

    First post here.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the work you guys put in to these custom FFB files.

I have just tried the high end file from @Kuku Maddog

For me it`s pretty much perfect. I can feel everything the car is doing, it`s like the missing piece of the puzzle and has transformed the game for me, I sort of started to lose hope with AMS2 but this has shown me how good the core of the game is, the fundamentals.
To be able to tap into what`s under the hood and bring it out this way is fantastic.

    My settings :
    Gain: 70
    LFB: 30
    FX: 60
    Damping: 50

    Fanatec CSL elite 1.1 (PS4)
    Sens: Auto
    FF: 100
DRI: -2 (or -1 to 0 Depending on the car)
    FEI: 70
    Force: 120
    SPR: off
DPR: 100 (redundant anyway I think)

    Porsche RSR74 with these settings...
    Amazing experience.

    I'm on a T300 and using the DeltaX v2 T300 custom file.

I think I have dialed in the FFB settings to a good place. Feels pretty good overall. But I'm curious what settings you are using with a T300 @Kuku Maddog?

His settings are shown inside the FFB file.

Work has kept me away from my rig (and the internet) for the last six weeks and I’m feeling pretty left behind with regard to ffb custom files. Add in a CSL DD that arrived today and I’m going to have to sit down and play around quite a bit.

Which leads me to my question. @Kuku Maddog - is your Delta file based on the rFuktor files with Damping still controlling the power steering? Or is it based more from the Default files? Apologies if this information is given earlier, I read through but couldn’t find anything.

Hope you enjoy your new CSL , let us know how it feels with default and custom .
It’s still just the same rFuktor set up you probably last used, it’s just a fresh tune .

Thanks for the info Kuku. I’ll probably start with the rFuktor I have and try to dial in the new wheelbase and then look forward to seeing what you’ve created. You’ve been incredibly active making so many tweaks and changes over the many past months since custom ffb files were shared it’ll be interesting to see what you’ve done.

I’m also just looking forward to getting behind the wheel again…and trying out the new content.

I'm enjoying @Kuku Maddog's V2 file. Wondering if there's any way to get some sense of forward weight transfer under braking? I can feel weight transfer side to side in turns, and would love to get that forward shift feel for trail braking. Is that possible? If so, what would the settings be? Thanks for your hard work, everyone!

I have been chasing FFB settings with the custom delta X file. Running the CSL DD. Anyone figure out a setting that is close to what the CSW 2.5 had? Appreciate any input with this new base. I cant seem to get it as sharp or direct feeling with curbs and road feel.

    In game I'm running:
    60
    0
    34
    0
    44

    Can start with increasing
    (Brake_feel 1.?)
you will find it in variety of adjustable scale values near top of file.

I've got a new CSL DD. I'm pretty happy with it, although the table clamp is not great. I can't decide between the old MuscleFuktor file I was previously using and the latest file by KuKu. Both give a pretty good feel for me using similar settings to yours (I run 75/0/35/45). I think I'm leaning towards the Delta X file.

I'm pretty happy with the new wheel base, but one thing I have noticed is an occasional slight 'clunk' or 'click' type feeling on certain tracks (eg. Donnington in P3 Roco). Do you get this? It feels quite different to any other force the wheel provides.

I get a similar thing on my CSW 2.5 if either of these lines are set too high
(exaggerate_front_load_feel 0.30) This is set at 1.0 as default
    (exaggerate_front_load_feel_hi_df 0.20) and this one is 0.5
Try lower values and see if it makes a difference

It may be that some small smoothing is required for a certain element in high end file, as that is the main difference between that and what I run.
There's several spots that ive added higher smoothing from 4.4 on my file. If you use notepad++ and compare you will see them and can try one by one.

by the way : Ive found some better oversteer relax values to try., Ive just done it by feel , bugger the math .

Its eliminated some very late corner exit throttle oversteer effect on little tail happy cars like the Ginnetta gt5 and the Caterham.

Give this minor changes a try and see what you think.

    (front_tyre_stretch_feel 0.12)
    (rear_tyre_stretch_feel 0.10)
    (relax_os_line2_start_y 0.0004) #relax_os used for over-steer: relax_os
    (relax_os_pos 0.00144)
    (relax_os_width 0.00316)
    (relax_os_coef -0.015)

I've actually had that feeling for quite a while. Have always had to turn those settings down. Quite often I reckon it is better to go by feel anyway. I'll try those new settings tomorrow and let you know.

Thanks Michael (and Kuku) for your input here. I found the cause if the issue… not related to the FFB file, but I’ll detail it in case it helps anyone else…

The problem was caused by the WRC rim. I was able to confirm this by trying my old CSL rim, which eliminated the issue. I read online that the plastic simplified QR Fanatec use on certain wheels can be fractionally loose on the wheelbase shaft. The answer was to put a couple of strips of masking tape on the shaft to pack it out slightly.

Apparently, RMA’ing the rim doesn’t really help, according to other users it is a design fault rather than a manufacturing issue, so getting the rim replaced doesn’t resolve it. Masking tape seems fine ATM.

I am using the kuku file v2. Thanks, great job.
I would like to have a more rubbery feel, or a higher level of smoothing as in AMS1.
    I own a ts-pc racer.

You can play around with Tire deform values, here is a recommendation.
    (tyre_deform_scale 0.6)
    (tyre_deform_stiff 1.25)

also you might benefit from running lower spring strength if running high end file.
    # Rack spring

    (steer_spring_strength 0.1)

Im not sure if you have tried the T300 file , but its main difference is more smoothing and lower spring.

    Hello Kuku!

Yesterday i tried your file and i must say that it felt really good. The last file i tried from you, i found not so good, it seemed unresponsive and weak.
With this one, i didn't even bother with fiddling with my settings, it was natural from the beginning.
I'll try it again today, maybe i can tell a bit more then :)

    Cheers, bazziboy

P.S.: I used the T300 file with my T300

Thank you very much, I will test the values that you suggest.
I will also try the t300 file
